Glorified busker whose uninspired, unoriginal and impressively bland music continues to baffle me as to how people actually listen to this and enjoy it. He can’t sing and the echo on his voice on this is awful. Half the songs sound the same and the album just trudges along taking you nowhere exciting. God awful album. What’s even more tragic is the fact that he can draw a larger crowd than most artists around which is such a shame as there are so many better artists out there that ... read more
As like most Circa Waves releases, all the firepower is at the start and middle of the record, eventually fizzling out. Nothing has changed with release. You start of with the lead single ‘Jacqueline’. Whilst it is a fun pop song, with a comical music video to go along with it, doesnt really go anywhere. ‘Be Your Drug’ turns up the pace and is a more satisfying tune, more energetic instrumentals drive the song whilst still sounding very poppy with the repetitive chorus. ... read more
FIRST ALBUM OF 2020! And it's... underwhelming, to say the least.
I've never heard of 'Possible Space' going into this but I'm always keen to listen to something new, however, coming out of the other side of this album, I don't quite know what to say. First of all this guys voice is so strange it leaves you feeling uncomfortable and the repetitive instrumentals drag on. Each song seems okay from the offset but none of them takes you anyway, they just trudge along, for what feels like an ... read more
pretty tame album. 'Cryonic Suspension May Save Your Life' is the only highlight for me.
There is no beating about the bush with this album. All throughout the album, there's this sense of guilt, that the lyricist, Ben, has been through a tough period of his life, not handling his friends with respect. This is brutally obvious on the song 'Fucking Up My Friends'. Each song is brutally honest about depression as Ben Gregory is writing from experience, having been admitted into hospital twice in the last two years. One of my favourite songs on the album is 'The Song's Never Gonna Be ... read more
Another indie band that can't do anything but rehash songs that have come before and stick to the same formula for every song. The frontman's voice is just unbearable and along with the generic lyrical theme's, you will be thoroughly bored by the second track. They remind me a lot of Catfish & the Bottlemen however at least Catfish can write a decent tune. I've seemed to have wasted too much of my attention listening to this album trying to find any positives but every time I listen I ... read more

This album really is a mixed bag. I am not a big fan of the pc music fad that's ingulfed this album. Sure some of the songs are good, '1999' being the obvious standout, but being an album 14 songs long, it doesn't take you on an adventure, more so leaves you at the starting line confused.
Favourite tracks: 1999, Blame It On Your Love, Cross You Out, Gone
Favourite tracks: No One's Easy to Love, Comeback Kid, Seventeen, Malibu, Stay
I like the blend of heavy and light songs on this album and every song on this album offers something exciting in its own right. From the upbeat opener 'Fishing For Fishies' to the dance-infused closer 'Cyboogie' the album really holds your attention throughout.
Favourite tracks: Boogieman Sam, The Cruel Millenial, Real's Not Real, This Thing, Acarine, Cyboogie
Was excited for this one when I heard the single 'Time'. While there are some really good songs on here, it seems to be more like a collection of songs taped together, rather than crafted together to form a cohesive album.
Favourite tracks: Time, On Sight, Gidget, RENE, Cut Me a Break, Oslo
This is such a great comedy album! Would listen to it over many 'real' rap albums.
This album just won't age well at all. It's already starting to sound outdated and its only December. 'Bad Guy' is pretty good apart from the ending change-up, 'all the good girls go to hell' is decent as well but the rest is quite forgettable. Despite that, she delves into some great topics, such as unrequited love and situations you can't escape. If it wasn't for the flat production these songs may have been the highlights of this album.
Along with Little Simz and Dave, Slowthai has made an amazingly good album that is consistent, explosive and truly gritty. It also has the killer single that is 'Doorman' on it. One of the best songs of the year.
Not a big fan of grime as its hit and miss, such is this album. Ed Sheeran makes an appearance which only lowers the stock of this LP.
Favourite tracks: Crown, One Second, Lessons, Vossi Bop
Never thought I'd ever enjoy an album by a member of One Direction, but here we are. Out of all the former members, Harry is the only one making enjoyable and interesting music. 'Golden' is a great intro, that opens you up to the brightness that carries on throughout and is a departure from the more grittier sound on his debut. This album is fun throughout and the vocals are incredibly good.
Favourite tracks: Golden, Watermelon Sugar, Lights Up, She, Treat People With Kindness, Fine Line
