AJR - What No One's Thinking
61

least terrible AJR release (other than his weezer collab)

Titanic - HAGEN
75

I don’t understand Spanish so very good chance i’ve missed out on the full potential of Titanic’s latest collaborative album

Balu Brigada - Portal
82

A solid indie album that flows nicely from track to track, without sounding repetitive at all

Kate Bush - Hounds of Love
95

Yet another needlessly slept on album from me. Bush’s ability to express her artistic range in only 12 tracks is staggering, certainly setting the standard for all later prog pop

Sabrina Carpenter - Man's Best Friend
63

More interesting than most other Sabrina music i’ve listened to, seemed to have a bit more substance. Overall however, still little more than inoffensive

Nourished By Time - The Passionate Ones
81

The interesting production really made this album for me, as well as being very satisfying vocally

Racing Mount Pleasant - Racing Mount Pleasant
95

American BCNR has entered the game with a monstrous project
RELISTEN: I mean what more can I say than that these guys are bringing incredible new levels to the art rock scene

Joey Valence & Brae - HYPERYOUTH
94

The productive variation on this shit is monumental.

Vince Staples - Big Fish Theory
89

Jumped out of my seat when I heard that Kendrick feature (he doesn’t miss)

Gingerbee - Apiary
82

Wonderfully composed, could’ve rated the project even higher but didn’t care about the Screamo aspects as much

Hollow Ship - Future Remains
76

Some awesome instrumentals and a really strong rendition of 60s rock, an interesting listen

Ninajirachi - I Love My Computer
90

This is nasty and cunty and I love it.

The Blue Nile - Hats
88

Feels really fresh and clean despite being over 35 years old, definitely aged well as a synthpop record

Sufjan Stevens - Illinois
92

Ups and downs, highs and lows, this album has it all and can do no wrong

Kendrick Lamar - GNX
89

Thank God I tried again with this album, some absolute bangers and crazy narratives

Clipse - Let God Sort Em Out
79

Didn’t fully connect with this album but can definitely see why the hype is here. Sounds wonderful and has a stacked feature list

نبيل [Nabeel] - Ghayoom - غيوم
82

Glad to see a full length album from the Iraqi shoegaze scene, with Nabeel doing the niche genre an incredible justice. Thick and beautiful instrumentals accompanied by mesmerising vocals

Tyler, The Creator - DON'T TAP THE GLASS
88

A really fun listen, synth went crazy

Injury Reserve - By the Time I Get to Phoenix
54

Nothing boundary pushing about this, honestly a boring and uninspiring listen at best

Justin Bieber - SWAG
45

Had fun with the first few tracks but quickly went downhill. Really not helped by the 50+ runtime which made “SWAG” feel drawn out and uninteresting listen

On Carly Harrison - Natural Disaster
"Nothing wrong with a song being small and intimate, but if you produce a song where the instrumental is little more than a tapping of a few keys on a piano monotonously for the entire song, it’s going to sound thin, incomplete, and boring. Furthermore when the vocals sound that clunky, and frankly, bad, it’s hard to really get in touch with the message of the lyrics which, upon inspection, seem to be about as unique and thought provoking as every mainstream pop song, with the added bonus of being hard to follow and lacking in any coherent story. The song is a good first effort and I see the vision, but lying to people and saying they have talent just because the truth hurts makes them complacent and is an insult to true art and good music"
On Talk Talk - Laughing Stock
"Hadn’t considered this, definitely something to consider when I give the album a relisten !!"
