Women - Public Strain
82

Perfect album to make a miserable rainy day cool and aesthetic

Beak> - >>>>
79

Can definitely hear the Portishead influence but this record did more for me than a lot of Jeff Barrow’s original work

Taylor Swift - The Life of a Showgirl
36

First Swift review because I figure it’s good to be topical.
If we move past the obvious fact that this is a bland, boring and uninspired cash-grabbing release, you’re left with an album full of cringe and outdated pop culture references, as well as the lyrics of an egotistical billionaire who has clearly lost touch with both her fans and the wider public

Death Grips - Exmilitary
88

yeah holy shit. such a gritty and aggressive mixtape which, in true Death Grips fashion, goes so incredibly hard

PARTYNEXTDOOR - $ome $exy $ongs 4 U
29

Only put myself through this so that I don’t feel as basic for just listening to NOKIA. Wank album

Djo - DECIDE
77

Proven wrong, this album actually is good, even if it’s the guy from stranger things…

Danny Brown - Starburst
86

Incredible day for the terminally online

The Sound - From the Lions Mouth
78

Very stereotypically 80s, incredibly heavy on the synth but definitely pulling it off

Flopsy's Dream - Pleasant Pudding
66

From the guy who crossed London using no roads, I’d expected his music to be more adventurous, however still certainly pleasent!

Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion
67

Seriously hyped and obviously well made but gave quite a dull and clunky feel, possibly just not my genre

Slow Pulp - Moveys
77

Dreamy background album, simplicity working its magic

Big Thief - Double Infinity
70

A very easy listen but a bit generic in places

Belle and Sebastian - If You're Feeling Sinister
76

Very pretty and well made, there were just a few tracks where I was left wanting MORE

Maruja - Pain to Power
93

An incredible depiction of solidarity, equality, and collective suffering at the hands of the elite. A powerful display of emotion communicated through a set of thick and immersive tracks

Ed Sheeran - Play
39

Ed might be CEO of mashing together boring pop songs that no one is putting in their playlist

twenty one pilots - Breach
83

My favourite TOP record to date, really enjoying the punkier, grungier stuff they’re making

Paul Simon - Graceland
79

A nice, fun listen that’s clearly aged very well

福居良 [Ryo Fukui] - Scenery
88

Cute Asian boy performs blissful fingering magic

Jerskin Fendrix - Together Again
65

Really trying to decipher if this is good or not...

On Carly Harrison - Natural Disaster
"Nothing wrong with a song being small and intimate, but if you produce a song where the instrumental is little more than a tapping of a few keys on a piano monotonously for the entire song, it’s going to sound thin, incomplete, and boring. Furthermore when the vocals sound that clunky, and frankly, bad, it’s hard to really get in touch with the message of the lyrics which, upon inspection, seem to be about as unique and thought provoking as every mainstream pop song, with the added bonus of being hard to follow and lacking in any coherent story. The song is a good first effort and I see the vision, but lying to people and saying they have talent just because the truth hurts makes them complacent and is an insult to true art and good music"
On Talk Talk - Laughing Stock
"Hadn’t considered this, definitely something to consider when I give the album a relisten !!"
