Better vocals than previous releases but still a little bland and monotonous. Awesome cover art though
Extremely consistent run of great tracks, despite a couple of long outros negatively effecting the “punch” of the album
Cannot believe I overlooked listening to this album for so long. A deeply emotive project which proves itself to be a timeless work of art.
Upon relisten this LP might be one of the hardest post techno albums of all time
An overall inoffensive yet uncompelling release from James with no real stand out tracks. While very easy to listen to, the simple, "poppy" direction his music seems to have taken is undoubtedly an unfortunate product of his boring fanbase.
This is so hot and steamy.
Unsurprisingly the highlights of the album were the singles, but the unheard tracks still pulled their own weight and certainly didn't take away from the overall feel of the record.
Stunningly produced with angelic contrasting elements which blend together while still being easily distinguishable. This project is even more impressive considering it's a debut record, launching itself into the rankings of my most adored albums
Indie Rock but make it emotional and dreamy. Beautifully atmospheric production and transitions between tracks that work to inject the music into your veins
Despite the obvious Windmill influence, "Epic The Movie" (unfortunate name) is definitely overhated on this platform. The riffs were hard and the EP was overall a very easy and enjoyable listen.

"Nothing wrong with a song being small and intimate, but if you produce a song where the instrumental is little more than a tapping of a few keys on a piano monotonously for the entire song, it’s going to sound thin, incomplete, and boring. Furthermore when the vocals sound that clunky, and frankly, bad, it’s hard to really get in touch with the message of the lyrics which, upon inspection, seem to be about as unique and thought provoking as every mainstream pop song, with the added bonus of being hard to follow and lacking in any coherent story. The song is a good first effort and I see the vision, but lying to people and saying they have talent just because the truth hurts makes them complacent and is an insult to true art and good music"
