This is the album that transformed Radiohead from just a good band into a true embodiment of art.
The tracks are capable of surprising listeners not only with their innovation, richness of detail, and diversity, but also with their intensely depressing atmosphere.
This isn’t an attempt to create a “Ágætis byrjun 2”, it’s a unique path of its own that is just as capable of making a powerful impact.
Of all the tracks, perhaps only “In Limbo” ... read more
There’s a lot to talk about here - this album is even more surprising than the first one. While it’s difficult to single out individual tracks, I’d especially highlight #5, #6, #7, and #8.
The climax of #6 is breathtaking, the crystalline piano sounds as if every note is piercing straight through your soul.
#7 features what is, in my opinion, one of the most impressive vocal endings in the genre. The performance is so powerful that it leaves you frozen in amazement.
#8 ... read more
An album that inspired even Thom Yorke. It's hard to believe that such a unique and remarkably accomplished band seemed to appear out of nowhere - as if they had arrived from another planet. Perhaps that's fitting, because in a way, Iceland feels like another world entirely. It's no coincidence that Low Roar eventually moved there.
It's difficult to highlight individual tracks when the entire album is so consistently brilliant. The orchestral arrangements, otherworldly ... read more
"Fire Brain" is pure bliss - a perfect track. Amazing vocals, killer funk guitar - it’s one of the few genres where I actually like hip-hop. The second track isn’t bad either, even though you can tell it was made just for fun.
The first album by my favorite band isn't exactly impressive, there are a lot of frankly weak tracks, and one of them is practically unlistenable. That said, there are a few enjoyable tracks, and "Creep" stands out for its excellent mixing.
It's truly amazing to see how far the band has come since then.
The band decided to treat their fans to a simply perfect track - one of their best works, receiving rave reviews and racking up massive streams.
NOW WE NEED AN ALBUM.
A significant leap forward from the first album. An outstanding work that planted the seeds for a huge amount of great music, from artists like Low Roar to other, less refined but popular acts such as Joji. The sound is remarkably impressive for its time. There are plenty of songs that shift between vocal registers, making them especially enjoyable to sing. My favorite track is "Bullet Proof... I Wish I Was".
At first, it seemed like the guys had decided to start making decent music, but in reality, it’s the exact opposite.
Even more talentless tracks, even stranger mixing - it’s objectively better quality than the previous one, but it feels even harder to listen to. I don’t know what kind of hack worked on this, I suspect it’s the same person who worked on the music in many of the tracks. This album is impossible to listen to.
My introduction to David Bowie began with the amazing track "Space Oddity." So far, I really like everything - the album isn't perfect, but it's clear that the artist has his own vision, and many of the tracks sound very interesting for that time.
Radiohead's legendary album is practically perfect; it has its own unique atmosphere, flawless mixing as always, and stunning sound design. It's amazing how the band managed to get even better after creating something like this.
Musically impressive, but with questionable sound quality, sometimes the gritty sound is clearly added on purpose, but some tracks obviously sound very poorly recorded
With their new album, the band didn't try to reinvent the wheel, but they certainly didn't disappoint.
The tracks retain their simplicity, but the sound quality is still top-notch. Musically, I love this album just as much as the previous ones, it also features tracks capable of surprising listeners with their rich sound. I'm looking forward to seeing how the band evolves.
God, I loooove this album!
The band has gone from a previously just pleasant album to a work that impresses in practically every aspect. The melancholic vibe and catchy lyrics remain, but now everything is even more diverse, and most importantly, the sound quality and sound design - man... this is one of the most engaging pop albums out there. Yes, the music is fairly simple, but it’s so well-crafted. "ANTIFREEZE" - I can't believe how it sounds, the mix is so dense, just ... read more
This is the talented artist’s debut album. It may lack impressive sound design and high-quality audio, and some of the tracks are rather basic, but it’s a pleasure to listen to. The guy knows how to write melancholic tracks that are both musically and lyrically engaging.
I just don't get all the hype around this album - the sound quality is absolutely terrible. I hope it's just because this is his first release. I suspect many are impressed by his unusual vocal timbre, but what is that anti-musical disgrace on the first track? It’s literally random notes he sang with his “incredible” vocals without any proper instrumental backing.
The guy screams his lungs out - sometimes he manages to tear them apart quite artistically, and I ... read more
A stunning collection of the band's greatest hits, featuring superior sound quality and re-recorded vocals that are more technically precise yet no less impressive
