Probably the first remix album that feels like a standalone work rather than just an add-on to the original - an impressive experiment
Although there are a few cool tracks here and the album has a nice vibe, there are still plenty of mediocre tracks that were written in three minutes.
It’s a huge hit album - even though the sound quality is terrible, almost every song is very musical and a pleasure to sing along to. I’m also really impressed by Oliver Tree’s marketing efforts, he’s become popular in his own unique style.
A stunning shift in mood and sound for the band, the sound design is incredible. Every track is musically pleasing and showcases the impressive work that went into it. There are some unusual note choices here and there - which was likely a dealbreaker for many - but for me, it makes the album even more original. I suspect this will be the best album of the year.
A really enjoyable album with impressive sound design - it's not perfect, but I love it
The album still retains the band's signature sound, but questionable choices - such as the blatantly obvious use of autotune against a backdrop of music that sounds almost like a live concert, along with melodies that aren't always pleasant - make it the band's weakest release, though it's still not bad.
Even the storm of hate that erupted couldn't overshadow the album's objective quality, this album fits the title "Hybrid Theory 2" better than any other. It would be great if the lead singer learned to sing properly at concerts, but that doesn't affect the album itself.
A pleasant album with high-quality sound. Some of the criticism is justified, since the abrupt mood shifts can feel like rage bait.
A pleasant, energetic, and dynamic album - the sound quality isn't the best, but it'll do
"Return to Normal" isn't a bad album, it has decent sound design, and there are songs that are fun to sing along to.
I suspect the sound engineer was fired over this disaster - the album sounds terrible, and on top of that, it has six intros and not a single hit. It’s Linkin Park’s worst work.
Actually, I like this even more than Meteora - it has a really cool sound, and "Given Up" really hits the spot
A record from my childhood and one of the best metal albums - it sounds amazing for a debut album
Great sound, a pleasant atmosphere, and math rock guitar riffs - what more could you want for a relaxing time?
A whole new level of musical production while retaining the stunning atmosphere of the first album — I’ve never heard such incredible work from such a young artist. One of the best albums of this generation.
The incredible sound design, the atmosphere that instantly draws you in, and the unique craftsmanship that makes each track a piece of art, turning this album into one of the most audiophile releases out there - and my personal favorite.
