Recommended to me by one of my best mates, this is truly a masterpiece of music. Great albums move you and this is what sets Swimming apart from other R&B. Maybe it's just me but it felt like a very emotional record for me. Could just be me being hella sad but I don't know, something about it. It's unusual to me that my friend would put me on something so good but respect 😂.
RIP to a legend.
This was a mess. I hate to see hip-hop falling off recently and this is just another example. A lot of the features carry the songs which isn't good for any artist but overall this was just bad. There were 1 or 2 tracks that stood out and I don't see why the whole album wasn't like this instead of being this jumbled mess of hard hip-hop mixed with mellow and then jazz-infused but alright. Overall just dissapointing
This is the 2nd album that my dad recommended to me after I needed something to listen to on my train journey to college this morning. It was absolutely fantastic. This a funky blend of jazz, rock and even ska at some points, making the album quite versatile. It's also very experimental, using instruments in very wacky ways. Overall, a really solid album! (i love paul weller)
mom come pick me up im scared.
(whoever is on the drums went to TOWN)
im afraid that The Rizzler may have dropped the greatest verse music has ever heard
Before I start this review, I'd like to say Rest In Piece to KA. An absolute living legend and fantastic human being.
This album is absolutely fantastic, from start to finish there are bangers. I love how this album samples old gospel choirs and christian preachings. As a christian myself, this was a delight to listen to, each song has a meaning spiritually but the record doesn't just rely on that. It provides smooth beats, good melodies and a perfect blend of R&B and Hip-Hop. ... read more
The lush instrumentation on the album alone is amazing but add the heavenly vocals of Mica Tenenbaum and you've got one of the most impressive albums of the 2020s.
Forgive me for my previous comments on this and on Tyler as I appear to have judged to quickly. This album is quite good with a few creative standouts that elevates the album as a whole.
My mum recommended this album to me and I loved it! Le Bon is an amazing vocalist and I really like his voice.
I'm back reviewing music after a long break. Honestly didn't listen to too much innovative stuff over the summer but music has been something that my dad and I have been bonding over for quite sometime now. Because of this, he recommended I listen to "The Queen Is Dead" by The Smiths. It did not dissapoint.
The Smiths, who are slowly becoming one of my favourite artists, really nailed it on this album, producing banger after banger with original lyricism and musical genius. ... read more
