Maybe not my favourite Xiu Xiu but I’ll always be sat for them experimenting. Some tracks here are incredibly haunting and some are honestly kind of hilarious lyrically. I think the production here is some of the best and I love how experimental it gets at times, even if this is not as consistent as you would want it to be.

This was a welcome surprise to me as I really struggle to find modern pop that I care for. The production is pitch-perfect thanks to the impressive catalogue of collaborators and Gray’s vocals demonstrate real pop promise. The song writing is fine mostly but sometimes it suffers from the corny tropes of modern pop. Crazy and incredibly unique. I get how some people might not like the drone tracks but to me they provide an excellent contrast to the poppier dance songs. The production is so perfect I could listen to these beats for hours!!!

LOWS: none to be truthful, maybe the interludes??
I’ve been waiting ages for this so I am going to remain classy and grateful! The first few tracks while great, underwhelmed me a little as there really wasn’t anything that necessarily shook me like it did on Galore. The middle of this album is really where it shines; some of the best tracks in her whole disc are on here and that great flow continues (mostly) until the beautiful outro.
