this voidz album follows one of my favorite albums of all time, their last release, "Virtue." after 6 years of waiting, this has become one of my most anticipated listens ever. i was expecting fantastic instrumentation. i was expecting experimental synth sounds blended with a modern alt rock sound. and, most importantly, i was expecting one of my favorite lead singers ever, julian casablancas, to deliver some of my vocals of the year, at least.

future is consistently not bad, but with better beat selection and more focused vocals, he could easily be great. i'm disappointed that this wasn't him in that element, but i still think he has that potential. i
what are u guys talking about he just listened to utopia once and made this song
as a long time fan of logic, i've been excited for this album for years, since it was first hinted at. the incredible true story was one of the first rap albums i really clung to, and the magic of the worldbuilding logic did on that album left me pretty enchanted for the length of the project. with the long, painful, winding road that logic's discography has been on since that (still great) album all those years ago, he hasn't been in my rotation heavily since then.

the production is great! the vocals are not. also the production is not great
the production on this album is perfect through and through, but he is doing the same exact triplet flow with an eminem-like inflection on every single song. it loses the charm after a long time

this was an incredible change of pace from scaled and icy. the trench sound is missing, but the production is still very crisp and the songwriting is strong. what it is lacking in consistency it makes up for in some of these explosive highs.
