this was my first exposure to twenty one pilots, and man, while all of these songs still hold a special place in my heart, i can't rate it bc, i mean listen to some of these songs

the production is some of the most layered, creative, deep, progressive stuff i've heard in years. the cohesion is lacking at points, but most of these songs are fantastic

this is one of the biggest turnarounds i've ever heard from an artist, his sound has instantly matured into something capable of pushing the mainstream envelope

people are comparing this to Yeezus... have u listened to Yeezus?

rapping is not the best, beats are not their best. but not bad overall

some good ideas, but too raw and underproduced to support the plain vocal delivery

for one of the biggest artists in the world this album is shockingly underproduced. however, the vocal performances are fairly solid save for a few and the beats are smooth.

really boring compared to fast trax 3 which i loved, but this is still decent and gangster party is really good so sure give it a listen

while the tone of her voice is not always 100% congruent with the instrumentals, the tender qualities of this album as a whole make it one worth a listen.

aside from some of these unbearably cringe lyrics comes this odd spoken-word maybe rap-like delivery sometimes? and it's really awful along with the imagine dragons inspired faux dramatic instrumentation. this is not very good!

van gogh is like 4 years old now but it's just as fire as it's been forever and the other song is kinda ass but kinda good

this album is way too smooth to have that chaotic break in the middle but other than that it's so well produced and feels crisp at all times
