twenty one pilots - Regional at Best
NR

this was my first exposure to twenty one pilots, and man, while all of these songs still hold a special place in my heart, i can't rate it bc, i mean listen to some of these songs

Quadeca - SCRAPYARD
NR

the production is some of the most layered, creative, deep, progressive stuff i've heard in years. the cohesion is lacking at points, but most of these songs are fantastic

Yeat - 2093
82

this is one of the biggest turnarounds i've ever heard from an artist, his sound has instantly matured into something capable of pushing the mainstream envelope

40

people are comparing this to Yeezus... have u listened to Yeezus?

Hit-Boy & The Alchemist - THEODORE & ANDRE
61

rapping is not the best, beats are not their best. but not bad overall

R.A.P. Ferreira & Fumitake Tamura - the First Fist to Make Contact When We Dap
64

some good ideas, but too raw and underproduced to support the plain vocal delivery

Trippie Redd - Saint Michael V2
28

FINALLY SOMEONE IS REPPING WIZARD101

Niontay - Dontay's Inferno
52

some good ideas, but the execution is not there on most of these songs

Sampha - Lahai
78

this album sounds like swimming in the ocean at 100mph

Westside Gunn - And Then You Pray For Me
50

STOVE GOD COOKS CANNOT SING

Earl Sweatshirt & The Alchemist - VOIR DIRE [Streaming Version]
NR

still gas 2 whole weeks later!!! sentry soty?!??

Drake - For All The Dogs
63

who put sexy red on that beat bro

and what is that metronome ahh rim on away from home bnyx is NOT HITTIN on this one

PinkPantheress - to hell with it
70

the consistency is not there but the potential is

Doja Cat - Scarlet
64

review with 0 knowledge of any drama:
for one of the biggest artists in the world this album is shockingly underproduced. however, the vocal performances are fairly solid save for a few and the beats are smooth.

454 & SURF GANG - Fast 5
60

really boring compared to fast trax 3 which i loved, but this is still decent and gangster party is really good so sure give it a listen

Laufey - Bewitched
76

while the tone of her voice is not always 100% congruent with the instrumentals, the tender qualities of this album as a whole make it one worth a listen.

Olivia Rodrigo - GUTS
44

aside from some of these unbearably cringe lyrics comes this odd spoken-word maybe rap-like delivery sometimes? and it's really awful along with the imagine dragons inspired faux dramatic instrumentation. this is not very good!

JID - BlakkBoyz present Half Doin Dope/Van Gogh
80

van gogh is like 4 years old now but it's just as fire as it's been forever and the other song is kinda ass but kinda good

quickly, quickly - Easy Listening
73

this album is way too smooth to have that chaotic break in the middle but other than that it's so well produced and feels crisp at all times

On oh's review of Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly
"This album is so bad! I hated this album so much! And I still don't even hate it as much as I did when I heard it on iTunes… it's like the last album I had complete faith in was… Tupac's To Pimp A Butterfly. But, while Kanye's previous album is mostly divisive among both fans and critics, To Pimp a Butterfly features one of the best and most complex narratives of modern hip-hop. Kendrick Lamar's lyrics can be surprisingly philosophical and hypnotic at the same time. In many of his songs he makes dark, brutal and pessimistic observations, asking us to relate to his worldview But it still sucks because he doesn't speak "clever" or anything. Instead, he pulls an old stock trick by shamelessly copying the music of other artists. Most "experimental" rappers tend to copy the style of his or her idol, and make little or no attempt to develop their own sound. Which is why we only consider Kendrick Lamar to be a genius. Why think less of him because he doesn't have the "X" factor? Why label"
