I'd never listened to Olivia Newton-John before this album, but ELO is one of my favorite bands of all time so I gave it a listen and it's pretty great. I naturally lean more towards the ELO side of the album but Olivia's half is pretty good, and this is just overall a very fun time.
This isn't actually bad, but when the live versions of these songs sound so much better it is hard to not look at some of the missed potential
It's certainly not bad, but it really is just a worse mirror of In the Court of the Crimson King
I feel like this album is just a wee bit overrated, now some songs on here are masterpieces, looking at you Heart of the Sunrise, but there's it feels like there's just a lot of filler in here. Like I enjoy interludes and shorter songs to help build a vibe or story but most of these don't really do that for me.
