One of my favorite hardcore albums of all time.
Breakdowns are traded for raw emotion spilled onto tracks.
There's no reconking with this album. It exists on its own playing field.
Seeing this band next weekend at a house show, pretty pumped about that. As for the album, this thing fucking slaps when it wants to and the genre bending is pretty insane at times. Other times I feel like the nu metal tint on some of the riffs and rhythms are sort of boring and played out.
Fun little indie rock album drenched in dream pop and shoegaze elements. A couple tracks were kind of a bore but when it hits, it hits.
One of my favorite hardcore releases to date. Shoutout to White Trash Rob for being a dirtbag while also making extremely prescient music.
Every song is a beautiful soundscape that has its own story.
Beautiful record.
Blistering fast and filled with pure evil. Even thought about wearing my Slayer shirt today to the Halloween party at work but opted out of that idea lol.
Saw these guys over the weekend, fucking cool dudes. Unbiasedly, this record kicks ass. Some straight forward hardcore with chant worthy moments and equal amounts of energy in each track.
Opening track sounds like a war hymn. Then the rest of the track list makes me wanna beat my coworkers ass.
For me, the vocals and lyrics are take it or leave it. The instrumentals on the other hand are pretty otherworldly and genre bending.
Still one of my favorites from last year. Constantly on spin to this day.
Honestly this is everything I’ve wanted The Dirty Nil to be. Catchy tunes with a mix of classic rock / garage rock riffs with a IDGAF punk attitude. My favorite release of theirs to date.
Still chewing on this as this is my third listen or so of this. There’s so much ambition in the amalgamation of sounds and genres. Does it all work? I’m not sure but I enjoy it quite a bit.
This album is so apocalyptic and nasty that by the end of it you’re engulfed in its filth.
