Paramore were so good everyone else half assed their covers on the main album
DKC Returns vibes with the instrumental . Not a massive fan of the added horns but David’s vocals are good
Fashionably late to this but this is fantastic. The mix was incredibly solid, the video for this was wholesome. Yeah. One of the best live albums!
Edit: 87 —> 90: I own this twice and it’s just as good so bump up the score
Honestly, This is Pretty. Great. The influences are
unabashedly obvious, which is not a bad thing.
If I hadn’t known Panic were a 2000’s band, this would fool me into thinking it was of the 70’s! It’s honestly outstanding how well the sound of that era is captured here.
Favourite tracks: Nine in the Afternoon, That Green Gentleman, Do you know what I’m seeing

For what could have been a set of mediocre album rejects, this ain’t bad. Nowhere near as consistent as the first album but still some bops like Ghost Train. Also fairly lo-fi which is cool.
Favourite tracks: The Sounder, Ghost Train, Left Hand Suzuki Method
Least favourite: Clint Eastwood (Phi Life Cypher Version)
Genuinely one of the best rock albums of the 2000’s. It has everything it needs to do. Catchy hooks and riffs. Heavy guitar with some softer stuff. Amazing vocal and lyric work. A masterpiece.
Favourite tracks: Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground, Fell In Love with a girl, I Think I Smell a Rat
Least Favourite: Little Room (I felt like it was just getting started and then it ended. Shame.)
I’d only heard Catalogue before going into this. No clue what anything else would have sounded like. Pleasantly surprised! Nice and noisy.
Favourite tracks: Catalogue, Clairbourne Practice, Feminine Adornments
Least favourite: Tenebrist
A follow up that works. A similar sound to the first album but with a couple of slower tracks thrown in. If the first album is the bands ‘Blue album’ this is there ‘Everything will be alright in the end’. Similar vibes if you get what I mean. Great, but not as good as the first.
Favourite tracks: The Fallen, This Boy, Outsiders
Least favourite: Fade Together
My first modern Franz Ferdinand song and it’s alright. Not the best thing they’ve put out but it’s catchy and fun. The music video was alright as well.
Why were they playing with Rock Band instruments in the music video I mean they’re not even playing the game just messing around with the plastic instruments. Kinda goofy if you ask me
I was really surprised by how much I like it! It gives off vibes of happier times with upbeat instrumentals. They more than make up for the fine vocals. A solid pop-rock album!
Favourite tracks: Undercover Martyn, I Can Talk, Eat That Up, It’s good for you
Leat favourite: Come Back Home
Thanks Youtube for recommending me this song I’ve never heard from a band I’ve never heard before. Pretty solid
This is gonna be one of the few soundtracks I review on here. Hideki Naganuma is one of the best video game composers out there. And this is one of the best soundtracks to a game I’ve never played
This is the only soundtrack where he did all the tracks and it really shows. Classic Hideki sound fills the album and it’s great!
Favourite tracks: Let It Go, Too Fast, Teknopathetic - e-Pop 'n' Disco 80's Mix
Least favourite: Brother Goes Away
Similar to The Hardware Ep but I think it’s just a little bit better. More experimental than that one (Mansell samples an answering machine) but still a similar sound to The Hardware Ep.
Ranking the songs
1. Panzer Attack
2. Mansell
3. I’ll still write
For a Random Indie band from the early 2000’s I have never heard of, this is pretty good! It’s split halfway between aggressive and more ballad style music. It’s kinda neat!
Favourite track: The Devil Walks In The Sand
Least Favourite: Sister sound
This turned out be more melancholic than I would have thought. I like the contrast between the upbeat and melancholy. This is a Perfect blend of electric and acoustic instruments!
Favourite tracks: Bleed American, The Middle, My Sundown
Least favourite: Cautioners
A pretty solid album. Hearing an acoustic guitar in most of the songs hits very well and I like it. Not the best White Stripes but still a solid album
Favourite tracks: Hello Operator, Death Letter, Truth Doesn’t Make A Noise
Least favourite: A Boy’s Best Friend
Great but I prefer the original because of how much i've played Burnout 3
Not as good as Evil Fucking Wizards but I still smiled throughout because the weird premise and vocals.
2005 really was the year Pop punk got big. This is classic, teen angst music and I’m all for it! The vocals and guitar are stands out for me. This is one of the pop punk albums you HAVE to listen to if you want to get a good idea of what it is.
Favourite tracks: Our Lawyer Made Us Change The Name Of This Song So We Wouldn’t Get Sued, Dance, Dance, Sugar We’re Going Down.
Least Favourite: Get Busy Living Or Get Busy Dying
Damn you Evil Wizards! You burnt my crops to the ground! I relate very strongly to those peasants
