It’s a surprisingly fun album! A similar sound to that of EWBAIT, with heavy guitars, some nice vocals and good drum and bass. A nice little tribute to one of the most influential Hard Rock / Hair Metal acts.
Favourites: The End Of The Game, Beginning Of The End, Precious Metal Girl

Happy 35th anniversary Flood!
TMBG are one of my favourite bands. They and Weezer are 2 of the driving factors in getting me to listen to music outside of just the pop-radio stations. A Seriously underrated band.
Anyway, this album is just a fun listen! Goofy but also kinda morbid . A blend that works surprisingly well! No song overstayed its welcome. A fantastic album from start to finish!

I think whatever way you spin it, this is definitely in the top 3 Paramore albums. Personally it's my favourite! They didn't reinvent post-punk revival but rather iterated on it in a way only a band like Paramore can!
A (kinda) experimental beauty of the modern age!
Favourite tracks: This is Why, The News, Running Out of Time
Franz Ferdinand return!
The Human Fear feels experimental. Lots of different instruments and styles present. It somehow sounds great though. Well produced and has that classic FF style and vibe! I don’t know why the score is so low here.
Favourite tracks: Hooked, Night or Day, The Birds
Least favourite: Black Eyelashes
NOTE: I’m Reviewing the 2001 Remaster
Wasn’t expecting to end 2024 and start 2025 on such high notes but that’s how it be!
This is one of the best albums of the 70’s. It sounds clean but also kinda rough (I mean that as a compliment) if you get what I mean. Fantastic!
Favourite Tracks: One Way Or Another, 11:59, Heart of Glass
Least Favourite: Fade Away And Radiate
Very surprised by this! I was going in expecting something just alright, nothing too special. But I really like this! Feels very classic. Heavy guitar, great drumming, great vocal delivery. Really good!
Favourite tracks: Bobby Sox, Dilemma, Living in the ‘20s
Least favourite: Corvette Summer
Thought I should get round to this since its 20th anniversary is this year.
What a brilliant album! You can feel the power radiating from this. Strong chords, amazing lyrics and instrumentals. It hits so hard! Surprised at the hate it gets.
Favourite tracks: American Idiot, Jesus Of Suburbia, St. Jimmy
Least favourite: We Are The Waiting

REVIEW 100 LET'S GO!!!
Flatter than a peice of paper. Wetter than a puddle. This is just a boring mess. Sometimes I went "alright, this decent!' than the next track I go 'ew. Who let this get past the mixing phase.' It's just as bad as they say.
I'm going to give you some alternate versions of 3 songs on here that are better:

A surprisingly good debut EP for a band. Sure it’s pretty rough (except for Banquet) but that’s what a debut is gonna be like for an up and coming band. Solid!
Favourite tracks: Banquet, The Answer

Just the Deluxe stuff and the Japanese and UK bonus Tracks
Miss Sweeney (90) - Beautiful. That's it. An amazing song!
Pig (89) - Jesus why were none of these on the album? Another Beautiful track
The Spider (60) - Rivers please stop trying to write songs about spiders. Your not very good at it
King (80) - Alright. I Like the heavy sound but Rivers vocals aren't really doing it for me.
Life is What You Make It (84) - A pretty solid cover

NOTE: I'm reviewing the 'international version' on Youtube which has 3 bonus tracks 'It's Easy', 'I Can Love' and 'The Weight'.
This is overhated. There are some really great tracks on this. The Angle and the One is the defenition of a hidden gem! It feels like they took some and critisisms of Make Believe and went back to a harder more guitar oriented sound, adjacent to Maladroit. It's your typical Weezer fare really. I actually kinda vibe with this one. The piano is pretty damn good. It’s an overall pretty solid track.
This is album is designed to make you happy! The sampling is great, the lyrics flow beautifully and it just has a vibe. Only reason this isn’t higher is because De La Orgee made me feel like that one Sackboy gif
Update: I decided to listen to the bonus disc that I have with my copy. It’s decent! Mostly remixes and some b-sides. Made me up my rating a little bit from 89 to 93.
Favourite tracks: The Magic Number, Eye Know, Me Myself and I
Least favourite: De La Orgee
Should have called it "Weezer (Blue Album) and it's the same but there's forty more songs so it's not"
I reviewed this ages ago but the review sucked so I decided to re-listen to this and write this updated one.
This keeps the dark lyrical themes of Turn On the Bright Lights, but adds a more dynamically open sound to the bands sound. It works pretty well! It’s kinda like an expansion on what the band can do, a show of what a tad more polish can do to change the vibes of an album
Favourite tracks: Evil, Slow Hands, Length of Love
Least Favourite: Take you on a cruise
