This reminds me of Bush by Snoop... An artist tackling a different *genre* which some may consider to be generic, familiar etc. But to me its not only extremely listenable, but I actually do enjoy it. The 80's synth wave Lonely prom style sound seems to be a parody of itself these days, however I do feel Tory is talented enough to add his own twist on it (even if that twist is quite insignificant).

I liked Brandon Banks but this is an undeniable step up.
Maxo takes a all his strong flows and story telling and puts it over a more accessible sound to the point where I think it will be hard to find someone that dislikes most of these tracks.
Moving to a more accessible sound usually makes for more generic music but this actually works quite the opposite here. I feel that some of these tracks, although more commercial sounding, are some of Maxos best yet. Especially the Gibbs track.
