Yeah this one's kinda incredible I'm not gonna lie
I recently discovered Winslow House through their debut album Pilots and Postmen, which I overall thoroughly enjoyed but still had some minor issues with. Essentially, Jessie 1997 does everything that made Winslow House's debut effort as good as it was but goes further above and beyond, fixing pretty much all of the gripes I had with their first project. The end result is what I'd honestly consider to be a near perfect ... read more
Lo-fi to an almost uncomfortable degree, raw and beautiful in such a timeless way that it’s hard to believe that this album was only released a few years ago. Pilots and Postmen feels like it should be lost media; this is the soundtrack of old home videos found covered in dust, portals into a past life.
I’m so happy that I just so happened to stumble across this album; I know absolutely nothing about Winslow House, but I thoroughly enjoyed this project and look forward to hearing ... read more

Magdalena Bay might actually just be the most talented pop musicians doing it right now
Another incredible samba album from Cartola, definitely not his strongest album overall but this is still filled with consistently amazing songs. Some tracks are definitely a bit derivative of some of his other work, especially the stuff off of his 1976 self-titled album, but what those songs lack in uniqueness, they make up for by still having great vibes
Highlights: Verde que te quero Rosa, Desfigurado, Pranto de poeta, grande deus
FAVORITE: Autonomia
Damnn it’s been a really long time since an album has surprised me this much on first listen, this is pretty incredible
I had no idea who Racing Mount Pleasant was prior to listening to this project, but I’m definitely gonna have to check out more music from them now since this couldn’t have been a better first impression. Despite pushing an hour of runtime, this album flew by, with every song being nothing short of amazing and the highlights in particular being some of the ... read more
The Quadyssey is actually real omg
It feels weird for this album to actually be out; this has been my most anticipated music release of all time since Quadeca first dropped a teaser for it in early 2024. Typically, I’d be worried about letting my hype for a single album build up for such an extended period of time, because surely my expectations would eventually overflow and the end result would be a let down. However, Quadeca has established himself over the past couple of years to have ... read more
Definitely the best of the old Quadeca archive mixtapes 🙏🏻
Half of this album consists of extremely dull, inoffensive cloud rap songs, and the other half consists of ridiculous, braggadocious songs with hilariously bad beats and even more hilariously bad bars. The only time I felt anything while listening to this album was when I was laughing at how utterly stupid tracks like Idgaf are, which inherently make them highlights when so many of these songs are just nothing to me lol. ... read more
These mixtapes are NOT getting any easier to listen to‼️‼️🥶
This project has:
ZERO interesting beats!
ZERO good choruses!
ZERO clever bars!
ZERO memorably good songs!
ZERO memorably bad songs!
Probably not quad’s worst mixtape, but I’m still giving it the lowest score of all of them because absolutely NOTHING stuck with me. Just generically bad cloud rap music all the way through with nothing of substance whatsoever. It doesn’t even have any songs that are so bad ... read more
Yep this sure is another old Quadeca mixtape!
In most aspects, this is definitely a slight step up from Work In Progress. The vocals are mixed much better, the beat selection is a bit more consistent, and quad’s singing is almost listenable. The rapping is actually considerably worse on this project though; more cringey lyrics, more horrible one-liners, more lyrical miracle-ass flows. You Can’t Rap might genuinely be Quadeca’s worst song of all time, wow that was an insanely ... read more
Against all odds, this isn’t nearly as bad as I expected it to be
That being said, it’s still pretty trash; my expectations were just extremely low going into it lol. The mixing on this project is horrendous, it really feels like quad just recorded himself rapping over rips of free YouTube beats using his $20 vlog microphone (which is probably exactly what happened). His rapping is mediocre at best and his singing’s somehow way worse, quad’s evolution as a vocalist is ... read more
this is such a fun album, it’s clear in hearing the finished result just how much passion everyone involved in Blush has for this project
in general, this is a pretty consistently inconsistent project if that makes any sense; the songs aren’t very cohesive but there’s so much variety in the genre styles that I’m pretty sure that was the point. That being said, there isn’t a bad song on this album, with the worst tracks just kinda not being anything special or ... read more
great song, obviously doesn’t compare to nettles but that’s just because nettles is really that good. synths go crazy on this one, definitely the highlight of the song for me
song makes me feel like I’m sitting on a vine-covered wooden swing under a tree in the middle of an idyllic meadow without a care in the world type shit
such a fun little song, beat goes crazy and dev definitely does her thing vocally. wish it was longer but it does work pretty well as a short track
