It was okay, better than Dance of Death but overall just fine. Got some bangers, but a lot of rather forgettable songs too.
There are some rather repetitive moments in this one, but overall killer. That guitar tone tho, HOLY SHIT.
Kill em all but blue.
One of the albums that helped cement my love for music, and For Whom The Bell Tolls was the first metal song I ever heard. Love the guitar tone on this, it’s got such a crunchy and frosty sound to it that I absolutely adore. Only thing that stops it from being perfect are ‘Escape’ and ‘Trapped Under Ice’ two rather forgettable songs, so forgettable in fact that Metallica themselves don’t even remember they exist. However every other song ... read more
Angel of Death and Raining Blood go crazy, but between those two songs is nothing but filler that all sounds identical.
“You can do anything if you believe” ahhh tune
Shit sounds like it belongs on a clash of clans ad.
Torture.
No album I have ever listened to, to this day has ever caused me as much physical discomfort as Melanie Martinez's debut album 'Cry Baby'. This "music" (If it can even be called that) actually caused me to recoil in disgust at times, and for the remainder of the runtime you are left with complete and utter snooze music that is devoid of anything remotely interesting.
There is NOTHING positive to say about this record, easily the single worst thing I have ever ... read more
We love Lesbian ahhh music.
Seriously tho this was really enjoyable, one or two songs grated on me a bit but the rest are super fun and catchy.
Nah just piss off. It's actually baffling how horrendously bad this is.
Probably the bands most "creative" venture to date.
Not a big prog guy , so its not my favorite. It's got its highlights for sure but this is an album I don't find myself revisiting a lot, if ever tbh.
Avenged Sevenfolds peak, this right here is their greatest album to date. A modern day classic.
The only thing stopping me from giving it a 100 is the fact that Tonight the World Dies is super forgettable and is the only song I don't listen to.
Similar to what I said about A7X's previous albums I've reviewed, the highlights are incredible but the mid really stands out from the crowd bringing the overall quality of the album down. Great but not perfect.
Nobody can ignore how good Bat Country is, nobody.
As for the rest of the album, some stands outs include Beast and the Harlot, Trashed and Scattered and Sidewinder.
Always find myself skipping Seize the Day and Betrayed, just not a fan of those songs tbh, which is what brings down the overall score of this album for me.
Now this is more like it, this is a core kid classic for a damn good reason.
Containing probably my favorite A7X song, Second Heartbeat, Waking the Fallen is what the previous album should have been. Killer riffs, nasty breakdowns and some sick solos, some songs get a bit samey but overall this album fucks.
Shits kinda ass ngl. Warmness On The Soul was pretty cool, but the rest of the album just ain't it.
Waking the Demon goes so unfathomably hard, I can't get enough of that riff.
A few tracks in the middle and towards the end of this album are rather forgetful. Very top heavy album, the songs that hit however, hit fucking crazy.
