This band just never let me down. Not as good as The Black Parade, but still incredible and really important to me. Getting home from school, wacking this on full blast as I tried to work out how to play each of the riffs and solos to this one are some core memories of my mid to late teen years, and to this day songs like Thank You for the Venom are some of my go to riffs to just play for fun. MCR are just the fucking GOAT man.
It's fast, intense, and an all around BANGER.
My Mums favourite therefore im not allowed to dislike it.
Jokes aside this album is absolutely incredible and I have a lot of early childhood memories attached to this, especially the song "My Immortal".
le funny stranger things band :0
But in all seriousness, this is the only Thrash album worth listening to, early Metallica stay on top and this is when they where at their absolute best.
ALL KILLER NO FILLER.
Like 'From Mars to Sirius' this album is just soul crushingly good, I absolutely love the funny whale band.
This album is THE Nu Metal album, period. Chester Bennigton was the best vocalist in the genre and still hasnt been beat to this day, RIP.
First half is a lot stronger than the second half, but this album still goes unfathomably hard. An absolute must for grunge fans.
Not something I would usually ever listen to, but I gotta say I am pleasantly surprised. Absolutely superb.
Introduced to me by a friend (a certain Mr Sinjei), I have been a huge Radiohead fanboy ever since. Masterpiece in songwriting and one of the best albums of the 90s. If you havent listened to this album I urge you to do so immediately.
The story of this album is a sad one, its filled with pure emotion and grief as it is the final album Tom Searle recorded with the band before his unfortunate passing due to cancer. The album tells a story of death and grief and deals with lots of other heavy material, absolute classic and a must listen for fans of Metalcore.
Best grunge album, hands down. Layne Stayley and Jerry Cantrell stay on top.
Stands out more from other grunge albums by drawing more influence from the heavier side of music, combined with masterful writing, it just cant be beat by any other grunge album.
I can't really express how much I love this album and what it means to me. Because of Bring Me The Horizon, Ive met some amazing people and made some of the best friends I could have ever asked for. Because of Bring Me The Horizon, Im able to write my own music and play Guitar, and just like MCR their music has got me through some rough times in life, and for that I will always love this band and this album.
but what to say about the album itself?
Well, this was definitely the evolution ... read more
This shit changed my life for the better in so many ways.
The album that got me into music as a whole, made me pick up an instrument and still influences my songwriting to this day.
The story that MCR tell on this record is one for the history books, a story of life, death, regret, and grief, and my high school self ate that up. Not only did this inspire me to branch out into creating music instead of just consuming it, but it also helped me in some dark periods of my life and provided an ... read more
