Mum can we have Metallica?
No, we have Metallica at home
Meanwhile Metallica at home -
Almost perfect, but still amazing. Coming off their rather mid first album, this release did a severe turn around in quality. The time and effort the band put into this one shows, and while I do prefer what Trivium would go on to do later, this one stands the test of time and is a great listen.
If All Our Gods Have Abandoned us was the album that explored Life, Death and what comes after, then this album is the grievance. Metal Injection said it best, "A long-playing tribute to a life cut tragically short, and a genius whose influence will live on for decades to come.". This album is filled with heartbreak and grievance and is honestly rather beautiful and haunting at the same time, an absolute modern day masterpiece and one that will be remembered for years to come. Fast paced, powerful and full of emotion, absolutely killer from start to finish.
Spiritbox really don't miss. The latter half of this EP is a little weaker than the first, but this goes unfathomably hard ESPECIALLY JADED, holy fuck that song has no right being as good as it is.
Absolutely fan-fucking-tastic, just the sort of thing modern metal needs. Courtneys voice is absolutely incredible and this album has some absolutely killer riffs and breakdowns. Love it.
Apart from a few stand out songs, mainly the singles, this album was honestly a bit of a let down.
The singles leading up to the release where all pretty solid, but on the album as a whole it feels very top heavy, all the singles are on the first half, leaving the latter half to be filled up by boring, generic and frankly uninteresting songs.
Pretty fun and enjoyable but not as good as some of their other releases. By no means bad but far from their best. Still a fun album to have on full blast.
Its just okay, apart from maybe 2 songs nothing really stands out about this one really. I don't get why most metal bands feel the need to be super safe about everything nowadays and just make bare bones basic radio rock instead of interesting music. Boring and uninspired.

The album that got me into this band, and after several more listens, it is damn near perfect in my opinion. Some of the best riffs in modern metalcore, the vocals are absolutely crushing, the lyrics are filled an overall theme of societal struggle that is captivating and that Oli Sykes feature on Silence Speaks is peak. However, songs like Empire of Silence and Settle Down Society really bring the overall quality down, I don't think that they're bad songs, I just ... read more
Very basic, very safe, cookie cutter Metalcore. Not really anything interesting here, some cool riffs and nice vocals, but all in all doesn't stand out from the thousands of other bands doing the exact same thing.
Brain rot the album. Same issue I have with every single damn hip hop album I get recommended, droning, repetetive, and boring. This album however tries to be quirky by making a bunch of unfunny millennial references and jokes like its a fucking marvel movie. Not enjoyable at all.
She Knockin' on my Loose till I ARF.
Damn good instrumentals, was not the biggest fan of the vocals. Overall it was fine I suppose.
Enjoyed this one a lot more than I thought I would, something my old cringey "Metal Gatekeeper" self would have called "TikTok Music", However this album hooked me in immediately. Amazingly well produced, filled with annoyingly catchy choruses, there's something for everyone on this album.
Production is ass but I love that about this album. Very raw and very in your face, a severely underrated gem in the bands discography.
MCRs goofy era, pretty fun listen but not as good as their other works.
