Beautifully flawed and absurd.
Scratches a similar itch as her EP. Not much else to pull from this though, as she doesn't really build much on top of the foundation she layed on "I Exist Because You Say So". Not bad, by no means, just a little underwhelming.
Just because an album has a lot to unpack doesn't mean, that the unpacked album is any good. Absolute non-starter, a clear step back and a marvellous showing of how a band can become famous without having any feeling or talent regarding music. It is beyond me how a band can fuck up this bad and still be praised by so many. While the last album wasn't great, it atleast had some appeal, but on Even In Arcadia it just feels like they don't even give a fuck.
I find this album to be very interesting. While revisiting some records, I gave this record another listen, just to remind me of the sound and feeling. It has been a while since my last full listen and I just had to check if this album still holds up. And I think it's fantastic. I forgot about how good everything sounds, but I believe, that in order to reach a certain level of appreciation you have to really dedicate a lot of time and thought to this album.
