Playing this on shuffle is like flipping a coin to see if you're gonna laugh or feel sad
This has been gaining a lot of attention since well everyone knows at this point, but I'm glad Spelling is getting attention. This album is great and super unique. A ton of effort can be heard on this. You can just hear the dedication that was put into this with a lot of the small parts that make up each and every song. So much is done over this near hour long album. AND IT GOES BY LIKE NOTHING. Several highlights make this album really shine. I plan on revisiting this album because there are ... read more
OHHHH I WAS SO HYPED FOR THIS. Wow this feels like genuine Tyler but at the same time so much was packed in here and the energy never left it whatsoever. I felt this is easily on par with Igor in terms of storytelling and emotion. The two longest tracks on here are the ones that feel the most off but they are so well done. Tyler’s storytelling is amazing on those two. The ENERGY TYLER HAD ON HERE IS JUST WOAHHH ALL OVER THE PLACE. A great thing I can say about this is that I can see this ... read more
It's 4am and I came across this album while playing Roblox. Honestly a great experience. Would do this again
Might go back to edit this since I just finished it and thoughts about it are all over the place
This isn't really something I can really view as a musical album. This is a story about a writer trying to show that he is worth something by struggling to make a record that is sad and at even creepy and disturbing at times. This isn't a musical masterpiece and hardly anything about it is musical. But the story is a hard hitting one. It's so abstract and awkward to take in, but it feels genuine. ... read more
I can't even begin to describe how dark and seriously overwhelming this is. It's not even something I can rate. It's an album that comes from a personal place from the writer that it almost feels wrong to say whether its good or not. It's full of endless pain and feels draining to listen to from how emotional it is. Depression is also something very serious and Uboa's harsh and disturbing noise is able to perfectly portray how depression destroys someone. But even still, I can't find it in me ... read more
WHERE DID THEY COME FROM?? AFTER 12 YEARS??!!!! MY EARS!!!! ITS SO GOOD!!!!!! MUSIC NERDS ARE BEING FED THIS YEAR AHHHHHHHHH
There are two types of people in this world. People who busted a move on good 4 u. And liars
It's been a while since I listened to this. The first time, I didn't get too much out of it. But going back to it, its borderline perfect. I've never heard such beautiful vacuum noises.
Writing this as the album is wrapping up and wow. This is a masterpiece. What I love about this band is that they perfectly set up such a lonely and melancholic atmosphere almost effortlessly. Telegraphs in negative is able to showcase this lonely feeling and is overall amazing and beautiful. On this album, the sound goes above and beyond with building and structuring such dark feelings and loneliness. There times on here where it gets overbearing and OOOOO THE GOOSEBUMPS THIS THING GAVE ME. ... read more
Another one of all my all time favorites despite listening to this album only a few months ago. I find it hard to describe the album and I'll have to come back to edit, you really just have to listen to it. It is worth it. ITS GREAT REALLY REALLY GREAT
This album carried my freshman year. My chemical romance has a stigma for being basic emo and overly melancholic BUT THAT IS NOT THIS ALBUM AT ALL. This is easily MCR's best in terms of experimenting, conceptual writing, and overall quality. I love every song on here and no moment feels forgettable. All of (besides teenagers but teenagers is still a bop) help to create a haunting, tragic, thought provoking story about the end of life. And it's written so well. It allows the upbeat and loud ... read more
