Their worst, but still a great album. Even the worst song (your lives) is a decent song other than the lyrics.
A large step up from villans. 20 years later and they're still dropping albums that feel straight out of their prime.
I used to heavily dislike this album, but after a relisten, this in my opinion went from a 73/100-87/100.
Favorite tracks: Hideaway, Head like a haunted house, feet dont fail me, and villans of circumstance.
Very cool and expirimental album, very diverse moods throughout (for example, songs like 3's and 7's and make it with chu give off energetic and slow love song vibes respectfully, while songs like run pig, run, and river in the road, running joke, etc, imo, give off eerie vibes eerie vibes
More consistent in my opinion than songs for the deaf, and it does good at the Halloween vibe it gives off; on purpose or not. Songs for the deaf still has higher highs though. I see this as an overall upgrade from SFTD.
Although there are very good standouts on this album that belong in the list of my favorite tracks by this band (Auto pilot, The lost art... Monsters in your parasol), I still find this album for the most part very bland and boring compared to their other albums
i feel that this is either one of their worst or their worst album, but it's still amazing and every track is great in its own way.
Every song on here is a banger, but its sad that the album only has 9 songs, for a fact the better of the 2 halves
A less consistent album that feels like a weird combination of all their albums, but it is still a good album and very creative. There were few tracks on here that were bad.
