Honestly surprised with my reaction to this. It’s just not as good as I remember. Redbone is definitely the peak of this album but it doesn’t hit the same creative high throughout the rest of the album.
Edit: Wow, I was smoking crack rating this so low. Wtf was I thinking? This is an amazing funk/soul album with some of the most interesting and dense songs ever—truly a modern classic.
Fav Tracks: Everything except The Night Me and Your Mama Met.
It's pretty good. I've heard Gorillaz songs all my life, but I've never sat down and listened to a full album before. With The Mountain now released, I feel like I should at least listen to Demon Days to get an idea of what the album experience would be like, and wow, it blew me away. Truly a classic record that everyone should listen to.
Fav Tracks: Everything except Intro, O Green World, El Manana, Don't Get Lost In Heaven.
The hype is real with Olivia Dean, genuinely the best album I've heard in a long time.
Fav Tracks: Everything except I've Seen It.
Wow, this album is so full of jams. How can you listen to this and not have a good time?
Fav Tracks: Everything except Geronimo, Time Heals All, Honeymoon, Private Landing.
Least Fav Tracks: Do It Right, If I Had, Company Pt. 3, Cinderella.
Pretty middle-of-the-road album. Not very interesting besides the single he released, which I loved.
Fav Tracks: My Old Ways, Dracula, Loser, Obsolete, Afterthought, End of Summer.
Least Fav Tracks: Not My World, Ethereal Connection, See You On Monday (You're Lost).
