This album really had me crying alone in my room to music that sounds like :DDDDDDDDDDD XDDDDDDDD
This song changed my life. I was getting 0 bitches 0 pussy but then I bought this song for my ipod and started listening to it every day. Suddenly I started to become soulja boy. I would rep his website "souljaboytellem.com" to every person I met, I started to crank that at every place I went, I even found myself wearing his legendary "soulja boy" glasses to even the most formal of occasions. After my soulja transformation I suddenly was swarmed with women (and men we ... read more
I expected to absolutely hate this but it was actually really cool to hear the different ways the sound of paper were able to be distorted to create an atmosphere that I really can't describe. Also made for interesting background music while playing the miku nonogram game.
This album perfectly replicates the feeling of being so depressed that you feel the need to completely isolate yourself from not only those around you but the very world itself. Also the chicken wing line is funny 10/10
A lot of these songs start out really good and hit a vibe but unfortunately they don't hold enough weight to keep me interested through the entire length of the song :(
In general I don't like Roger Water's lyricism because I always get the impression he thinks he's smarter than he is with the shit he says. With that being said I can't help but love this album due to everything relating to how it sounds. Sonically this album is absolutely stunning and still holds up today. The way this album blends together ear-pleasing harmonies, instantly classic memorable melodies, and even shit like sound effects to create some of the best music to get high to is really ... read more
I saw this live and I almost cried during the dear misery performance.
I didn't know this was a live album when I was first listening to it. Nothing registered as off about its recording until I heard an audience cheering and then I had to look it up because this sounded too good for a live album. Also helps that every song on here is amazing like holy fuck Shinji Sato this is some good stuff. Shame you had to die though RIP.
This album is such a fun time my god when DEVO says "yeah yeah yeah yeah YEAHYEAHYEAHEYEAHYEAHYEAHYEEEAAAHHHHH" I be like "yeah yeah yeah yeah YEAHYEAHYEAHEYEAHYEAHYEAHYEEEAAAHHHHH"
Holy fuck this album is good. I'm not even just talking about the insane instrumentation and vocal performances. Figuring out what they're trying to say with the lyrics and such makes you feel like a conspiracy theorist. You're trying to come up with some out there crazy theories for what some things mean and then trying to make it fit together with what you already know from what you can gather on the surface level. Even though some of the meaning is pretty obvious, some of it can only be ... read more
This is not only my first rating, but my first review as well and I think it’s fitting.
This album is an experience. You’ll find yourself feeling good listening to catchy songs like “Closed Fists and Battle Antics” and “Obsession” and feeling emotional to hard-hitting songs like “Dear Misery” and “Have it Your Way”. When “Over the Windbreak / Bloom” comes on all I can really do I just sit back and get enveloped in the ... read more
