I remember reading a comment that compared Joe’s voice to Adam Sandler. Now I can’t unhear it. This thing is still a masterpiece though (except for dissolve me I guess)

Woah controversial opinion time!! I think this album’s great. Not quite on the level of their debut (I don’t think any of their material since has quite reached that level) but in terms of individual songs some of my absolute favourites of theirs are on here, in fact I think its high points are higher than AAW’s. The issue I have is cohesion between tracks, I know it’s purposefully not there but the problem is it’s not that enjoyable for a front-to-back listen. I ... read more
70s Soul and Funk are back baby! And it’s all thanks to the talents of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak. I’ve been a fan of both (especially .Paak) for a while now, and ever since the already timeless classic that is Leave The Door Open I was excited, and this project does not disappoint. I feel like I’m witnessing history here, the rebirth of an era into the modern day.

This review will be on the Kid Amnesiae disc itself, as the entire thing would be a 10/10 because Kid A and Amnesiac are in it, so why would it not be? I was extremely excited for this project as this era is my personal favourite of the band’s, and what we got did not disappoint. I enjoyed both singles, specifically follow me around; despite its very minimal production it’s very well-written and fun to listen to. Some of the new versions of songs are excellent too, with the new ... read more

This might be Peggy’s best album. It’s a perfect combination of everything he’s done up to this point. It’s almost perfect. It also features what may be his best song (in my opinion), “HAZARD DUTY PAY!”. That sample is godly. Over all the production here is incredible, Peggy really let himself loose with the freedom of being able to use licensed samples.

What an absolute masterclass of an album; a perfect final record and grand finale for one of the greatest bands in history (yes Let It Be came out after but this was the last album they recorded together). The first side is good enough alone, but then the 16 minute medley that is side b is one of the most incredible pieces of music of all time. While I prefer White for its experimentation and enticing mess of emotions, there is no denying the legendary status of Abbey Road.

My second favourite Beatles album, this is easily one of their most fun listening experiences, with catchy, enjoyable songs from beginning to end.

It is honestly a miracle this album was released with the quality it has considering the band were at each other’s throats throughout recording. Each member of the group’s distinct vision can be seen in this project, and despite the mix of genres and styles throughout the project there is such a good flow between songs, and there is something here for everyone to appreciate. It is my favourite Beatles album, and because of the influence this album had on almost every genre it ... read more
As this mixtape has finally hit major streaming services as well as vinyl, I thought I’d listen to it again and give it a review, and yeah… It’s basically a masterpiece. I always liked this project and thought it was one of his best but this is simply incredible. It’s produced immaculately with little to no production flaws (Diablo may be one of the best produced and over all best hip hop tracks of all time, although I’m just stating the obvious really) and ... read more
Despite various shortcomings, Keem’s debut does not completely disappoint. Plenty of good ideas just an over all lack of execution at times. Top of da mornin’ .

What a year for music! 2021 will go down as one of the most surprisingly incredible years in terms of great albums released. The melon man even gave some 10s, so I started wondering when I’d find mine. Then I found out that this was coming out. I’ve been a fan of injury reserve’s for a while now and the death of Stepa J Groggs has been heartbreaking for both the band and the people. The result of this heartbreak and loss has been one of the most depressing yet all the more ... read more
So Kanye West’s long-awaited 10th studio album has finally come out. It’s pretty decent.

This is probably the most overrated trap record of the past like 10 years. Maybe even all time now that I think about it. That being said, I do appreciate the experimental nature of this project. There are some insane instrumentals on this thing. The main problems I have with this project are a bloated track list, a lot of disappointing performances from Carti himself, and just a lack of interesting features despite the craziness this album promotes. Also to all you idiots on RapTok calling ... read more
I don’t usually get into the recommendations Spotify gives me, because usually it’s music I don’t end up liking. Recently it was different though. I shuffled the discover playlist, and to my surprise an incredible song called “Show Me How” started playing. I then found the album it came from and listened to the entire thing front to back. Despite being slightly bloated, I loved it. I love finding random new music, because sometimes you find gems like this. I wish I ... read more
This project delivers insight into the decaying mind of an elderly person suffering from Alzheimer’s, beginning with upbeat yet slightly off-putting jazz and ballroom pop music, with a crackling noise to suggest that there are memories being played in this persons mind. This music begins to disappear as the loss of memory prevents any reminiscing of the person’s life, they soon forget the life they’ve lived, and the memories that do pop up are sparse and only last a few ... read more
The sophomore effort, easily their most well known project and for very good reason. This project is spectacular from start to end. It’s hard to see this much raw talent in just one project nowadays.
