I've never been so conflicted with an album before ever in my life.
This album is, like, edging being a really good album. Like, there are moments where you can hear there being some really good and interesting ideas, and then Quadeca comes in with the white boy rapper schtick and ruins a lot of it. "WHAT'S IT TO HIM?" and "U DON'T KNOW ME LIKE THAT" are literally so close to being perfect if Quadeca didn't fucking AD-LIB. Every time Quadeca goes "Uh! ... read more

I don't think I've ever seen an album kill all the momentum it had building up than my experience with fucking Rylee & I. That shit was so overblown and borderline unlistenable. It sounds like they listened to Yeezus and said "Yeah I'm gonna learn all the wrong lessons from this". Like...
Outside of that song, the album's rather mid. It's just... another kinda rockish lo-fi album that is trying to be something bigger than it is. Alesis is good.

A relatively intense album that has some really intense vocals and rhythms. Unfortunately, the album also suffers from the pain of "slow song-itis", where some songs are too slow for their own good, and just... keep at a mellow tempo. I'd love for some cool moments here and there but like, I get it. Not everyone's looking for what I'm looking for.
It is a good album tho.

Yeah, I know I'm two days late, but due to personal circumstances I had to hold off on actually listening to the albums until today.
This is an album which, I feel like, might change in it's ratings over time, because a lot of the production is really, REALLY good, and maybe on another listen I'll appreciate it more.

A stellar album that, while it does have it's slow and boring parts, it's overall outweighed by how amazing the production and Brittany's singing is.
Sorry I keep making short reviews. I'm sick and busy.

An album that has a lot of bangers, but the slow songs really, REALLY overtake this album in a way that kinda makes it unpleasant. A lot of the songs are nothingburgers, but there are some really great songs on here. "inori" is far and away the best song on the album. Hands down.
I do think that the singer's voice is powerful, and it suits the songs, I just don't like the songs.

Kinda meh. A lot of blandness with some interesting ideas sprinkled in here and there. Banana Man was a pain, but Welcome to Tally Hall was awful. Anyways, do you like how I walk? Do you like how I talk?

While the album was very clearly derived from Beyonce's Renaissance, this is a very fun album. It's always good to derive from Beyonce's Renaissance in my honest opinion, especially since I think Lil Simz's voice fits so well with this.
There are some songs that aren't the best, specifically Pwer and I Ain't Feeling It, but I think that Mood Swings is a 10/10 song.

The embodiment of trying too hard and failing miserably. It has some up moments but, damn, it's trying too hard.
One of the canvases is AI Generated.

This album is like, the definition of mid. It's got some parts that stick out. I think Tate's vocals are pretty decent, and even compliment the songs on certain occasions, but it's just meh.
It's not the worst thing ever, but it's also not the best. It's just... the bare minimum. I can see some interesting production ideas being thrown in here and there, but it's just a standard, middle of the road album. Not deserving of a zero, but not deserving of anything higher than like a 60.

I was too harsh on other albums with bad vocals. This is genuinely the worst vocal performance I have ever heard. It sucks so much. Like, genuinely. It's horrific.
The Crank That cover was... absolutely abysmal. A crime, even.

Beautiful Boy makes this the most transmasc album in existence.
No but seriously, it takes intense amounts of sheer talent to overtake Deathconsciousness as my favorite album experience so far, and for good reason. This album is downright gorgeous.
The length of the album was so short that they were able to make an album that's so good and was able to carry the energy throughout the album. Even the slower songs held the energy and, in Gjuha's case, actually made me have an eargasm.

The artist I can think of that's close to what Kim Dracula is doing here is DECO*27, and that's because a lot of Kim's songs are like a thousand songs frankensteined together into one, however, unlike DECO*27, I actually enjoy most of the stuff that Kim does in their music. Of course, I haven't listened to the entirety of DECO*27's discography, but what Kim does in this album is, at the very least, better than Undead Alice (the DECO*27 album I have listened to).

Another suggested album. While the songs were rather generic and used a lot of pop tropes that that make me feel like it would be soulless, they were also a lot of fun. I enjoyed myself listening to it and, while I wouldn't listen to it casually, this is certainly an album I think is good.

It was a lot of fun as an album. The songs had a nice swing to them and, personally, I think "Love-song" is on the cusp of a 10/10 song. The bridge was gorgeous and elevated the song, but the rest of the song really does not match up to how it's bridge is.
Once again, it's dragged down by slower and more emotional songs, which, while not a vibe killer, aren't the best. The closer also is blugh. It's kinda all over the place, but it works as a closer.

It sounds really amateurish and... in all honesty, bad. Like, the song Substance is a mess, as it samples God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen really... REALLY obviously and makes it sound awful, which is a shame because I like God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.
It's also got horrid mixing and kinda bland beats that just tie the whole thing up in a stink bow.

Once again, an album that is very fun to listen to, but is held back due to it's slower songs.
This is also partially the fault of Samuel T. Herring's vocalizations. He sounds like he's constantly trying to pinch out a massive turd. It also sounds dated, as it's more akin to classic rock vocals rather than what I'd expect from synthwave
I do think it does lose the sauce later on in the album as well.

The album opens in a very fun way, Fly Away is a bop, but I'd argue that Hummingbird is the best song on the album. UMI's voice is beautiful and the production matches her beauty. While SaBabii and Teezo Touchdown don't exactly match up with UMI's beautiful voice, she adds a lot to the song.
I'm gonna be honest and controversial here, I think it's shocking that Doomsday is rated as the highest song here, since I disliked it a lot. I think, primarily, it's because of the Juice WRLD ... read more

Benny is a very talented lyricist. He's good at telling a story. Unfortunately that doesn't change the fact that I'm not a fan of the overall product. It just feels very... boring.
There are some songs that have some interesting production, for example "TMVTL", which is a harrowing story about how love is a weakness on the streets, and I like how every so often the beat changes. I wish every song was like this.
Also Westside Gunn rapped like he was allergic to the ... read more
