my original problems with flood is that it starts and ends in an uneventful and pretty boring way, the first 14 minutes of the original flood album is probably the most grueling part in my opinion, it tests your patience and rewards you for it with the godly 35 minute middle section, then ends off pretty boring again.
The live version doesn't have any of these, and in fact the live setting gives more atmosphere compared to the original flood with the guitars being more echoey and noisy ... read more

just another really strong J-rock/shoegaze album, nothing more to say...
Beautiful vocals, noisy yet beautiful production, powerful, emotional, and expressive, they definitely have a lot of room to improve but for now this is a very strong indicator for what's to come, especially that closing track, perhaps one of, if not the best closing track ive heard all year.
