every beat is beautifully despondent, sparse but detailed, with injury reserve's signature style of off-kilter rapping they've perfected on by the time i get to phoenix. this album feels like a continuation of that record in every way, but feels a little more minimal, as if something is missing after the unfortunate passing of grogg's and the group is still trying to recuperate. it's a very beautiful album and there were no low moments for me

disappointed: this album's only saving grace is that it's a remaster of an already amazing album that they did not need to even touch.
-the mastering sounds noticeably worse as they made it more vocals-focused on a guitar-heavy album.
-they also made the baffling decision to remove the swear words and have left some pretty awkward lyrical moments in place, listen to the ending of fill in the blank where he replaced "get the fuck down" with "we know what you are" ... read more
the well known songs off this are obviously incredible, war pigs being my personal favorite and feeling so wildly different from the rest of the album in its almost gospel-like quality, but some of the deep cuts can feel a bit meandering in structure.

webcore in a way that doesn't feel forced or terminally online (in a negative way). this album has a progression which makes it feel like one continuously exciting set from start to finish. sorry i didn't check this album out earlier.
