Shoutout to Jared Leto for reminding me to listen to this instead of watching his movie.
Really witty album about what probably was a really dark time in her life. Just a really cool showcase of her pen.
It’s clear that Max really does love music and wants to be up there with the greats, but I do think he has to commit a bit more to music and leave streaming for a minute to iron out the kinks with his rapping. His beats are progressing really well though.
Also the album cover is fire as fuck.
Although very classic and great for their time, their flows were always the limiting factor in me listening to their discography. However their lyricism and punchlines here were a great companion for me during the runtime. The duo did a great job in honoring Trugoy while also having a host of solid features as well to make a good project.
RIP Trugoy ποΈ
It’s not bad, but Tommy is just a victim of a tanking pr and an oversaturated sound from last year.
Has some cool moments, but I got my hopes way too high up after seeing the feature list.
There are two Raymond’s in this album. Both should’ve went back to R&B instead of trying edm pop.
Drake had the damn formula right here and he’s been trying to replicate it ever since π
I got incredible beef with this album, especially The Spins.
None of it is inherently bad although the boom bap cuts aren’t exactly my cup of tea, but I had an old friend who would not shut the fuck up about this mixtape and thought it was the pinnacle of rap. Because of that, I can’t get into it.
This project is also a reason why I haven’t really listened to Mac, but we changing that frfr.
Brent’s delivery is already pretty trance inducing, so having this many slower tracks together isn’t a recipe for success. Luckily there are a couple of good tracks to vibe with though.
Unlike Pac’s other projects I didn’t really listen to this one growing up, so it was nice getting a pretty fresh experience from a legend. Shout out to the Outlawz for holding their own, and for Pac bringing the energy per always.
Cool ideas but middling execution.
Yuno has a solid ear for beats and can write pretty funny stuff, but overall I had a solid time.
A cheap copy of his last three albums. It also lost points for not having Not A Bad Thing having another song tacked on the end of it for no good reason.
