I’m not usually a fan of rage, but this project really stood out to me. The mixing is great and the production really captures that raging energy without sounding like a mess. My only thing is I’m not a huge fan of the heavy autotune. I know it’s a staple of the genre but it comes off as a bit off putting, but that might just be something I need to get used to.
I've never given a 100 to an album before, but here it is. Heaven or Las Vegas includes the best parts of my favorite genre (cloud rap) in it dreamy production. Let God Sort Em Out has both masterful production plus a great mix of both hard-hitting yet emotional lyricism.
This was one of the first albums I've ever fully listened through, so it's always going to be a bit nostalgic for me. Coincidentally, it's also Kendrick's first album Lol. Overall, I really enjoyed this project for its production over anything. There are so many timeless bangers here that I'm still putting on to this day.
