"Nothing is Permanent" is crazy good, love how beautiful and atmospheric it is till near the end where the song goes nutty, some mathcore shit. Definetly my favourite song of this album.

A lil bit long for me but I still love this album. "The Garden Route" is beautiful as fuck, perhaps my fave song here. "Incidental II" is my least favourite, but I still like it and its noise elements. LPWP is pretty consistently an 8.5/10.
In conclusion: "He sits and shows me naked women" is tuff 🎱

An amazing blend of metalcore, thall and alt-metal. Pretty unique sounding metalcore, it's genre combinations aren't that unique but just in terms of sound they feel fairly distinct.
"Pink Mist" is definetly the best song on DYLV, it's beautifully sang. Def the best vocals on the album. 3/4 through the song it shifts into an alt-metal song whilst still ... read more

The first two songs are absolutely amazing, so strong in every musical area. Lyrically great too: "An iron fist in a velvet glove, another vulture posing as a dove". "We've given the vampires the keys to the blood bank.". "Apathy is our new messiah, only he could let things get so dire." The use of clean vocals is done quite smoothly, unlike a lot of modern ... read more

Though this album is beautifully depressive, I think it drones on itself a bit too much and sometimes gets boring. No track here is especially striking, but this is one of those albums where you have to listen to it front to back, otherwise it will feel slightly jarring. It's worth listening though, you may possibly love it. Also, a cool thing to note, despite "On the Edge" having no vocals, it still has ... read more

"Veridical" is a beautiful interlude track, I think it improves the pacing of the album by including these atmospheric Japanese-sounding meldodies, and then followed by riffage alongside them. "Covert" is my 2nd favourite, it has classic 2000's melodic metalcore riffage at some parts. It has a very stand-out chorus to me too, I immediately enjoyed it on first listen. The song ends with an ... read more

A very creepy and nostalgic soundtrack, perfect for the game. Most of the songs here consist of eerie melodies, a lil bit like a lullaby but twisted. Dark ambient is a big focus here as well, some songs having some industrial elements to them. The stand-out track here is "Main Theme", "Good Ending - Don't Go" and "Bad Ending".

This album is enjoyable, yet frequently boring. A lot of the tracks kinda blend into eachother, I also feel the vocals tend to get drowned out by the other instruments and the noise. For me the only stand out tracks are "Instill" and "Labyrinthian". "Labyrinthian" is a very groovy song, with a sick doomy breakdown in the middle of the song - brilliant. "Instill" starts ... read more

Great soundtrack for a show I personally find to be perfect, it's my favourite show ever but that's not what this review is about. I like how this k-drama soundtrack isn't afraid to stray away from k-pop, most tracks are orchestral, occasionally scary sounding, Nak-su's theme is a creepy industrial song, a highlight of the soundtrack, and it makes Nak-su/Mu-deok cooler for it.

Straight-up ethereal sounding, the most beautiful metalcore album I've heard. The album has a pretty big emphasis on the atmosphere, as well the djenty riffage, I think they really compliment eachother. Damn, this is extraordinary, the first song is amazing, but those other two songs are something else. "Don't Look Away" has some of the best screams I've ever heard, the screaming sounds cool, pissed and sad. Love how towards the song's end his screaming gets even more raw and pained-sounding. Sick guitar work and drumming too.

This was pretty good, many of the tracks here are great, though moderately forgettable. By far my favourite track on "The Deep" is "Beggar" - vocally it is my favourite, the screams are weirdly especially great-sounding. Instrumentally great of course, this is pretty much the only song here I'd call metalcore. I also like this the most lyrically, one that I ... read more

Sleep Token's first three albums are very consistent in quality (EiA I need to relisten to), I think it's some great stuff. Instrumentally and vocally I think this album is beautiful, and somewhat sad lyrically. Also, to note, the metal is secondary, the main focus of the album is pop.

Thanks to @SultrixSymphony for the recommendation.
The first half of this album is pretty good, albeit still corny-sounding, but in the second half I feel this album becomes a fair bit weaker, I frequently found it to be cringe in the second half, though the album is far from unlistenable.

I unexpectedly really relate to the lyrics of the song, the lyrics describe the way I live pretty accurately, well, that isn't good.

This is a brilliant melodic metalcore album, and not an alternative metal album posing as metalcore. The album consists of heavy chunky riffage and beautiful melodic riffs. It is lyrically magnificent as well, here is a quote from the album I really love: "And what's harder even still, is swallowing the pill, that being abandoned isn't a reason - to miss your funeral." from "Resent and Regret".

Unfortunately, this is easily the worst Linkin Park album, and I don't have any desire to do another relisten of the album bar a few tracks - after "Living Things" it just doesn't hit the same (THP is still great, just no more than that). Though I think the hate was far overblown and if this was made by a well-regarded pop musician this would be recieved way more favourably I think. ... read more

Even though Courtney did not have much presence in the song, I still think she carries the song and is easily my favourite part of the song, I'm not big on Amy Lee's and Poppy's vocals. The instrumentation is decent, at times pretty good, but nothing that really gets me. It's well done alt-metal/djent.
Overall, dissapointed me a bit.

The instrumentation was decent, sometimes good, but the vocals really ruined this for me, I didn't really bother reading the lyrics due to them also being lame from what I could hear. This album is frequently cringe and irratating in the vocal department, but it's listenable. So, just skip this and listen to some better alternative metal, like:
