Amazing album, it does a mix of post-punk, coldwave, and darkwave. I definitely prefer Bleached Cross' side of the album more than True Faith's, but still overall, 90 is a good rating to me.
Masterful lyrics too, at least in the first half, as I can't find the lyrics for the second half of the album. The lyrical themes of the album seem to be about love and bereavement.
And as a whole, this is a beautiful and noisey album.

A superb progressive/post-metal album, one of many great prog metal albums of 2023 - 2023 was a brilliant year for prog metal music in my opinion.
Thanks to @mj04 for suggesting I listen to the whole album.
As a whole, this album seems to lyrically be about love, and the anxiety around it, and anxiety in-general, as well as some songs covering betrayal.
I'll discuss my favourite songs on this album, those being The Grey, and Legion.

My favourite album of 2025 so far, likely won't be surpassed. This album is a mix of progressive metal, deathcore (?), and post-metal; a.k.a "thall".
When I listened to + Där Skogen Sjunger Under Evighetens Granar + for my first time, I was suprised by the fact that I liked it, as I personally remember Måsstaden being a pretty boring listen, besides the song Dagger - I love that song. I should relisten to Måsstaden though.

A great experimental and atmospheric metal album with R&B influences.
The screams are awesome, as well as all the instruments in-general, although at times it sounds like Imagine Dragons music, which stinks.
Emersion is my favourite song on the album, imo this song has the best vocal performance, it has the most emotive screams on the album, the melodies are beatiful too. When the song switches to the screams and blast bleats, it feels very worth the wait.

Amazing underground melodic/atmospheric death metal. I will always associate this album with Need For Speed Rivals. If you happen to have that game it works with it quite well.
If you like Fallujah, The Ocean, or Kardashev - you may like this album. If you enjoyed this album I would also reccomend "Wound" by Despite Exile, a great melodic/atmospheric deathcore album, somewhat similar to Abyssius.

I love the fusion+remake of various songs, especially in Bleeding Sun. It seems he redid the vocals too, and I really appreciate that. If you like acoustic rock you will perhaps enjoy this album. Of the albums he's made in the past 5 years, it's on the lower side of quality imo, but it's still exceedingly great. Better than Halfwolf for sure, I felt kinda mixed on that album.

I like this album, not strongly though. It has mostly good and catchy choruses (besides Good in Bed - awful song).
Lyrics are hit or miss for me - like in the title track, I have no clue what she's going on about, she speaks like she's making extreme/harsh music, she makes synth pop, not grindcore. It almost always sucks when the lyrics are about the audience, it's just so corny.
But for good lyrics - Boys Will be Boys succeeds on that - at first when I saw the song title I ... read more
This is my favourite piece of deathcore/slam I've ever heard.
Genuinely up there as the most extreme music I've heard, primarily with the first track Mount of Olives.
Very unique sounding vocalist (high-pitch screams guy), I think that plays a big part in this band's extremity. I do fear that his vocal chords will blow out, perhaps it has already happened, judging by the band's 2 year silence. Or could be the fraudery allegations.
Favoutite: Mount of Olives

Some underrated deathcore. I really appreciate the atmosphericness of the album, the only other deathcore bands I can think of who also mix deathcore with post-metal is Fit For an Autopsy and Black Pegasus.
I probably need to listen to the album more, but with the experience of about 2-3 full listens I'd say I love it, though I think I'll need 1 or 2 more full listens to see if I feel right with my rating.
3 favourite tracks: Riven Mirrors, After the Deluge, Custodian
Not a big fan, 6 and a half hours makes it not very relistenable. I don't regret my time with it though. Likely will not come back to this album. I don't really have a favourite or least favourite as the songs kinda blend in with eachother. I enjoyed my time with some parts though, about maybe a fifth of the album.
