In love with this slow cloud rap styled banger. It Feels like dreaming away, the beat is so phenomenal both detailed yet still intricate. Bill's performance matches it perfectly, both ethereal and confident. Just excells in the sound scape, and i didn't think i'd like it this much considering how spotty Keep the Change was I'm glad he's still got it.
It took me quite some time to digest this it is quite a long album but it truly is amazing, I've never heard a Yeat song before this and was just sheerly impressed by everything "2093" has to offer. I heard it first from "If We Being Real" just being an unescapable song but I thought the emotional weight really was impressive, this is true of other songs like "Bought The Earth" and "1093" you really feel the emotions of the character Yeat portrays ... read more
This review has been a long time coming, cuco's "Para Mi" has been my most listened to album since 2020. During that time all i would do was listen to this album for hours on end idk i just needed something consistent in a changing time of my life. But now onto the album front.
"Para Mi" is quite a solid project overal, it has an intresting psycadelic sound scape which really is the main appeal of the project. Past the opening two bangers it quickly becomes an ... read more
Coming from hearing his "Hi this is Flume" tape it was a little underwhealming. While the sound is amazing it's a bit over the top and some songs feel like they overstay their welcome, notably the second track "Never Be Like You". Overall there was still some great highlights tho, "Lose it" was very fun and some others but it really just kinda fades into the back for me. Just all feels too hard trying to impress rather then entertain.
Thrilling and cutting, I mainly came here to look for more future bass albums and this really delivered. The sounds are so otherworldly, the features are all perfect. It really feels like a trip from start to finish with Flume trying something new not just every song but every minute. There really is nothing that sounds quite like it, and having a JPEGMAFIA feature has never hurt before for sure!
