The heartbreaking lyrics combined with its cinamatic instrumentation creates a tragic story of love and, in a way, the end of the world.

While the Low End Theory was more lyrical with its messages, Midnight Marauders is much more bouncy while also purpously implementing rough sampling in its sound.

Show Business was almost a homophobic anthem. That said, this album is a classic. Simplistic beats with some great lyrics and performances.

This is the best way to end a iconic hip hop group. The best part about this is how they stick to their sound, while also evolving and giving shoutouts to the new era of rappers.

J Cole shows maturity in his writing and production, along with some features.

The whole KiLL Edward fearture is corny, but still somewhat enjoyable.

Although not as adventurous as 2014, this is J Cole at his most vunerable.
