A really good album from the early era of Elvis Presley, Blue Hawaii serves as a nice tribute to the original Bing Crosby record. Of course, Can't Help Falling In Love is an absolute classic and has inspired several other artists across the world, and No More is also a pretty good song, too. Other than that, I enjoyed this album and would recommend it to other Elvis fans.
Another good Christian album from Elvis here, with a couple of really memorable songs off of it. You'll Never Walk Alone and Where No One Stands Alone are the two best off of this selection here, and are definitely still in my rotation to this day. With that being said, the rest of the album is solid, and is worth checking out for past Elvis fans.
Another over hated Elvis project, this album ends up being the last album of the 'movie era', and it ends up being a good one as well. There may not be any real stand out tracks on this LP, but overall the album is just consistently good, leading to me recommending this for past Elvis fans.
A decently over hated album, this project ends up being pretty good. I really enjoyed The Meanest Girl in Town specifically, and the rest of the album is decent with small amounts of hiccups. Overall, this project would peak the interest of most Elvis fans.
Another good album from Elvis, this album lives up to the title. Gently and It's a Sin are two of my favorites off of the record, and the rest of this record is pretty solid overall. All in all, I would say that Elvis fans would probably want to check this album out.
Probably the weakest album from this later era of Elvis's career (other than I Got Lucky), although it is still a good album. Other than the poorly aged title, I don't have a lot of complaints about this record, it just doesn't do anything that truly blows me away. Still, Elvis fans will likely find amusement in this LP.
A good little Christian album here, His Hand In Mine ends up being one of the better records from the very early era of Elvis. I Believe in the Man in the Sky is probably the standout track here, and the rest ends up being a nice showcase of Elvis's early vocal talent. Overall, this album would likely be enjoyable for past Elvis fans.
A good record here from Elvis, Clambake is a rather well-rounded record. Though it doesn't really produce any great memorable song, it does provide several decent songs and very few hiccups on the record. I would say that this record would be worth the listen for past Elvis fans.
Another early record from Presley that ends up just being decent. This album doesn't really have any stand out singles in my opinion, but it doesn't do anything to disappoint. Regardless, this project ends up being alright, and may peak the interest of some Elvis fans.
Another decent project from Elvis, this album doesn't overly succeed, but far from fails. There's a Brand New Day on the Horizon was probably the stand out track for me off of this record, and the rest of the record is decent, although I think Poison Ivy League is in poor taste. Either way, this album may have value with other Elvis fans.
A decent project here that doesn't overly impress, but somewhat holds its own. No real standout song off of this record, but a more solid project than some of the other early Elvis records before. Overall, this album is decent and may be worth checking out for some Elvis fans.
Elvis continues to marginally improve on his third album, with this one ending up being a decent project. Loving You, the title song, ends up being my favorite off of the record, while the rest of the album is about average to decent quality. Regardless, this album is an improvement, and Elvis fans may want to check this one out for themselves.
The follow up to Elvis's debut album is a slight improvement from the last, though it's still a relatively average album. Long Tall Sally was my favorite off of the album, but other than that there wasn't any song that really wowed me here. Overall, this album is only worth it for Elvis fans.
Nothing special with this album, besides the title song King Creole. Again, not much to say about these more boring records from the early era of Elvis, just a few decent songs, a good to great one somewhere in between, and occasionally a bad to horrible one. Overall, this is an average record that would only be worth listening to if you've liked Elvis in the past.
Another one of the run of the mill soundtracks from an Elvis movie, Double Trouble is a rather average album experience. Nothing really standing out here, just overall a pretty forgettable project. You aren't losing anything by skipping this album, but if you are an Elvis fan, you may find interest in it.
A pretty average debut from an artist who would go on to change the game, this self-titled album is more of a mixed bag. There aren't any really great songs coming off of this one. but, besides Tutti Frutti, there aren't any awful songs here either. Overall, the album is just average and isn't worth listening to unless you have liked Elvis in the past.
A great showcase of how the pre-1969 era of Elvis was simply much worse than the era that would follow, I Got Lucky is a very mixed bag that I would consider average. Considering that this was a record consisting of leftovers from past projects from that previous era, I'm honestly a little surprised that this didn't end up being worse. Still, this album is nothing special and not worth listening to unless you're an Elvis fan.
Far from the best that Elvis has to offer, this one ends up being one of the weakest records in the discography of Elvis Pressley. Return To Sender is probably the only really good song off of this album, as I really enjoy the chorus and overall musicality of that song in specific. After that, the record is somewhat of a mess and, overall, ends up being a mediocre record that isn't really worth anyone's time.
A fantastic start to the career of The LaFontaines, Class is a very well put together project. A lot of classics off of this record, with the band going for a more melodic flow on these songs than they would going forward. Love Castles, Junior Dragon, and All She Knows, they are incredible tracks that I have playing in my rotation constantly. Overall, I would highly recommend listening to this album.
Though it is probably the weakest of The LaFontaines' records, Common Problem is still a great album. Common Problem, Total Control, and Goldmine would be three of the best songs of the album, I highly recommend listening to those. Other than that, the music quality is pretty good overall, so I would recommend listening to this album for yourself if you haven't already.
