Michael Kiwanuka - Kiwanuka

Honestly what a perfect album.

From start to finish this album brings great production through and through. The instrumentation is one of a kind.

For a first time listen I was blown away by how Kiwanuka can craft an all timer such as this. With the help of Inflo and Dangermouse this is an absolute masterpiece.

From the starting track and just how bright it sounds.

The last three tracks bring you a wave of emotions like none other. As well as this he can also craft catchy songs which he ... read more

I liked this project, however not much more then that.
I feel it had a lot more potential but he still shines on songs like ‘What If You Hypnotise Me’ and ‘Suspended’.

I know he’s capable of a lot more.

What an album.

On this album, he explores complex topics. And does it in such a way it doesn’t get in the way of the music. Hugo has excellent flows all across the album and even better production. He shows emotion especially on tracks such as ‘HGU’ which in my opinion takes a very skilled artist to do it tastefully.

Overall, this project is great, great lyrical content, beats, flows and emotion.

BEST: HGU
WORST: Plastic

Bakar - BEASTIE

I will defend this e.p until the day I die.

Beastie isn’t remotely close to his former work in anyway, this project is a combination of Bakar’s ideas all spliced and put together into a single 21 minute ep.

On my first listen I was with the general public but once you really experience the e.p you appreciate it a hell of a lot more.

I do agree that on some songs his voice doesn’t fit with the instrumental and vice versa but it’s interesting seeing him try out new ... read more

Quite a decent album however it does get quite repetitive after a few songs, which is why I love tracks such as ‘Fuck You’ and ‘Grief Eyes’ because they bring something new to the project. Favourite song is ‘Fuck You’
Least Favourite is ‘Thirsty Thursday’

Joey Bada$$ - Summer Knights

LIVE LONG STEELO
Great production, sound a lot more polished then 1999, great flows and lots of emotion shown on tracks such as livelongsteelo. Overall great

WILLOW - lately i feel EVERYTHING

Good album gets tiresome and repetitive in some places though, the more pop punk songs are definitely better. 4ever shows signs of Steve Lacy influence as well.

Jim Legxacy - homeless n*gga pop music

Great vibes throughout and jim’s voice is unmatched, his production is also top tier, it makes the album sound way more professional. hit it light it twist it, is my favourite song due to the emotion shown through it, like he did with dj.

Dave - The Boy Who Played the Harp

Great album, drags in a few places and can be a tad bit repetitive, the jim feature had to be the highlight
