The first half of the album was fantastic but the second half feels only slightly above average. This album is on the longer side so I wish some of those tracks were just left off.
Favorite Tracks: Re-Hash, Tomorrow Comes Today, New Genius, Clint Eastwood, Sound Check (Gravity)
Least Favorite: Latin Simone, M1 A1
This one definitely grew on me. Chance really is an individual with his own unique sound as he proves here. Sometimes the talk/rapping he does gets a bit boring but usually it's pretty enjoyable.
Favorite Tracks: All We Got, Summer Friends, Juke Jam, Angels, Smoke Break
Least Favorite: Mixtape (I feel like it doesn't really suite the album well)
I wish it was a little more aggressive and a bit less spacey but I still enjoyed most of the tracks. Meechy and Juices's vastly different voices and flows are fun to hear.
Favorite Tracks: The Odyssey, Bounce, Trade-Off
Least Favorite: Fly Away, Your Favorite Rap Song
Grew on me after a couple listens. Beats are really different.
Favorite Tracks: Stop Dat, I Love U, Jus' A Rascal
Least Favorite: Cut 'Em Off, Wot U On?
I did not enjoy this guy's voice or the instrumentals. Cool album cover though. Nude was decent.
Really don't understand why some of these tracks (Higher, Roses) didn't make the album. Fantastic.
Good beats and production but Travis and Quavo are boring. They sound far too similar to be interesting. Most of it sounds the same. Not for me
Favorite Tracks: Huncho Jack, Go
Really fun album with a dark hazy feel. Good tracks all throughout the album (rather than packed at the front).
Favorite Tracks: Goldie, 1Train, Ghetto Symphony, Angels
Least Favorite: Jodye
A lot of annoyances but overall a good album that could have been great.
Still funny and even better production than College Dropout but with a bit of topicality.
Favorite Tracks: Heard 'Em Say, Touch The Sky, Drive Slow, We Major, Diamonds Bonus, the skits
Least Favorite: Gone, Celebration
Not as interesting as his last two albums without a consistent theme or element of other genres, but still enjoyable just because Kendrick is a very good lyricist.
Favorite Tracks: Yah, Element, Love, God
Least Favorite: Lust, XXX
The aggression and sick beats make for a good album. El-P and Killer Mike both bring their own style that keeps things fresh. Raw
Favorite Tracks: Run The Jewels, 36'' Chain, Job Well Done
Least Favorite: Ddfh, Twin Hype Back
A bit less aggression than the first album but with even better production.
Favorite Tracks: Oh My Darling, Lie Cheat Steal, Early
Least Favorite: Love Again
Less spacey than Visions. Sounds more like pop (with some exceptions like SCREAM). I hope Grimes continues more in this direction.
Favorite Tracks: Belly of The Beat, Kill V. Maim, Pin
Least Favorite Tracks: Realiti, Life in The Vivid Dream
Jay-Z takes a very introspective stance. Vulnerable. Excellent production and features. If you're going to make the album TIDAL exclusive, at least make music videos that are just the song and not ten minutes of fucking interviews with the song sewn in between.
Favorite Tracks: Kill Jay-Z, Smile, Caught Their Eyes, 4:44, Bam, Marcy Me
Least Favorite Tracks: Family Feud (i think. My Tidal subscription ended so I can't relisten lol. It might have been another track i disliked)
