George Clanton - Justify Your Life
87

Can't wait for July 28th.

MOTO BANDIT - Love Fang
82

Moto Bandit is so slept on.

Tei Shi - Bad Premonition
64

Tei Shi really impressed me with her debut Crawl Space. Not the biggest fan of her turn to a more commercial pop kind of sound, but there is still plenty to enjoy on the Bad Premonition EP. Have a feeling this could grow on me.

Paramore - This Is Why
78

Was worried when I heard the title track but This Is Why really delivers and is probably the band's best effort yet. Thick Skull is such a great closing track.

Hether - Covered In Hether
74

Not very big on cover albums but Hether kind of crushes it here. Sad Songs, Dreams and My Funny Valentine are especially good.

Manchester Orchestra - The Valley of Vision
70

I have to give it up to Anthony Hull and co. for still managing to innovate and expand their sound further nearly two decades into their career.

quickly, quickly - Easy Listening
72

Smooth and chill EP from Quickly, Quickly. Give this one a listen.

Caroline Polachek - Desire, I Want to Turn Into You
78

This is the first record I've heard from Caroline Polachek but it certainly won't be the last. Extremely catchy and versatile pop record. In a lot of ways she feels like a spiritual successor to Imogen Heap.

Westerman - An Inbuilt Fault
80

Westerman just keeps getting better and better.

Cathedral Bells - Everything at Once
80

Loved this one. My favorite Cathedral Bells release so far.

Narrow Head - Moments of Clarity*
80

Don't skip out on this one. Narrow Head absolutely crushes it.

Wednesday - Rat Saw God
80

Excellent release. Wednesday really blew me away with this one. Definitely going to be catching up on their earlier albums.

100 gecs - 10,000 gecs
74

More like 10,000mg of Adderall. These gecs are some mad scientists, combining anything from hyperpop and nu-metal to ska and pop punk. This shit is all over the place in the best way.

El Michels Affair & Black Thought - Glorious Game
79

Black Thought continues to impress more than ever with these collabs. While he doesn't reach the heights of Cheat Codes here, this is an incredibly consistent and memorable hip hop record. Bound to be one of the very best records the genre has to offer this year.

FIDLAR - That’s Life
56

Fuck It Dawg, Life's A Risk.

Softcult - see you in the dark
79

Amazing shoegaze release from Softcult. A band with a lot of potential to be on the look out for.

Yot Club - amateur observer
71

Fun and catchy EP from Yot Club. Weird move on the Mr. Rager cover.

Dazy - OTHERBODY
71

Dazy is always a good time.

Beshken - Pressure Bump
77

Between Pantomime and this, it's clear that Beshken deserves a lot more attention. Excellent EP.

"Svefn-g-englar pretty much sonically blasts me out of a cannon into space with how cosmic and powerful it is. It's probably the unique and mysterious (almost alien) vibe of the whole album and Jonsi's insane vocals that do it for me. Thank you, I try to rate as honestly as possible. Who knows maybe I'll come across a 100 one of these days? You've got great taste. 👏"
