Great album from JID with more highs than lows
Really loved the production went hand in hand with this album
On the lyrics side I think he needed some features at some places especially the 3rd quarter of The album
As much power as their name holds in rock this album doesn't seem to hold up for me
They might have been best or good at the time this was released as time period heavily influence the music taste
But the does not hold up to the albums even in it's era
This is a hit and miss album kinda like carti ul'l either vibe with it it hate it
For me I lovved this album even if I like jay-z but linkelin park is mid but they together it actually is rap rock
Very fun experimental album from charlie ,the vocals were above average , but production was lacking some extra layers not disco like production except one song unlike the albums in her discography
U don't expect a gospel album especially from ye
But he did and was kinda good, great production from ye and the choir in the 1st 2 songs were well done but that's it .
His vocals were bit off not to mention the voice crack in one verse (don't know if it was intentional or not) and also they felt like vocals from the album ye.
I can't fathom the disappointment of people who waited 5 years for this white noise
Carti is good in only few tracks, elsewhere the songs are mid or carried by features especially travis Scott
And tbh ye was right kendrik doesn't fit in this album, his feature is either feels forced or out of place
This album some places was better than the marshall mathers lp and is one of Eminems best project.
In this album Eminem was less technical in his lyrics and way more concentrated on his flow which I loved .also the switch in his personas was also great.
Ty Dolla carried the album while kanye had good production in some but lacking in other and was mumbling more than half the time
Not to mention him erasing the line between the art and the artist
For me this would have scored higher but j Coles lyrics carried half the album because I felt a lack of production in 1st half of album except one track ,the simple beats in forrest hills were very well done combined with his lyrics here it was too bland at places .
This would be a 75 but for the last track I am giving it an 80
This is a great album worthy of it's status with one teh best adlibs(or background vocals) and great singing and guitar performance and production but for me the mixing especially between the vocals and production was a bit off here are there
The drums the vocals evrything on this album goes insane and the best album to get into metal, the prerequisite to listen to metal for sure
The simple production in parts where he drops serious lyrics and the simple beats when it was needed to be simple was very well done but at its base it had very less impact unlike the other rappers of his generation like kendrik and drake
The only saving grace this album has is it's production with timbaland and jpeg mafia in many tacks but only production isn't enough to make album good especially when it isn't a album by a trap centric artist
If u take it as a purely trap album aside from the controversial lyrics i would rate it a bit higher
Didn't like first of the album just found carti to be annoying but second half was really good and the whole album had great production and spot on features
The production with background vocals on this album made it a better album than disintegration but saving grace for disintegration is Fascination street and the same deep water as you
Even mike deans mixing couldn't save it from the annoying auto tune from travis and lack of production was felt during a lot of tracks at lot of times
I am so thankful for this album I put this on to study and it is true putting on white noise helps to study
