Following up the extremely solid mixtape "DANGEROUS SUMMER", I was expecting a lot more from this album. Unfortunately, the album didn't fully live up to it's mixtape prequel. Very solid, consistently good album with a few major standouts. That being said, i am going to dock a whole 15 points off this album simply due to the fact FE!N is the most annoying fucking song i’ve ever heard. If you remove FE!N, this album is an 80.
A great debut mixtape, that i personally feel like is Carti's best work. I enjoyed this mixtape through and through, with a lot of songs i still come back to to this day. It's got this simple, upbeat and playful energy to it that i just haven't quite found elsewhere.
Simple, spacey and atmospheric tracks. I definitely do like the vibes of this album a lot, although most of the songs on this project haven't really stuck with me. Still, it has some of Carti's best songs on it even if a lot of the songs don't have significant staying power.
What can i say? The album is alright. This is like the quintessential "middle of the row" album. Most of the songs are just OK, it has a couple hits i like and not much more.
