I didn’t get as much out of it as I did with circles but this is still a phenomenal and very emotional album. Self care and 2009 are absolute masterpieces

This is the greatest album you should never listen to

What an unbelievable fucking experience. I have been listening to this over the past week and I genuinely think this is unmatched in the world of concept albums. It is beautiful, disturbing, haunting, atmospheric, terrifying, and almost any other adjective you can think of. Not much has made me feel the way this album has. Dementia wasn’t a topic I was very knowledgeable on going into this. The closest I’ve gotten to ... read more

I haven’t been as emotionally impacted by silence since Providence

This is easily the most atmospheric stage. The last two songs especially up to the last 6 minutes sound heavenly. And then the last 6 minutes (which absolutely lived up to the hype btw) were just heartbreaking. It felt like your own mind started to remember it’s memories and threw itself it’s own little funeral. And then ofc the minute of silence at the end was the perfect ending. Such a beautiful way to end ... read more

I don’t want to listen to this anymore๐Ÿ˜ญ

So this is probably the worst stage of eatot. It’s not like that’s a bad thing but it really doesn’t hit as hard as any of the other stages (especially considering it came after possibly the most emotionally impactful album I’ve ever heard). I feel like this is just carrying on the concept to flow neatly into stage 6. Won’t know until I listen though (which don’t worry will be tomorrow no more breaks).

Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah

Greatest cover oat only other acceptable answer is killing me softly

Sunny Day Real Estate - How It Feels to Be Something On

This is actually really great. I had some decent expectations and I think it about matched them. It doesn’t sound insanely groundbreaking or different from much alt rock but it does sound awesome. I think some songs were obviously less interesting than others but other than that it’s decently consistent too. The first two songs in particular are absolutely phenomenal. So yea not much else to say about this it was great and I really enjoyed it๐Ÿ‘

Viktor Vaughn - Vaudeville Villain

I decided to take a break from Eatot for the day after stage 4. I’m gonna listen to stage 5 and maybe stage 6 tomorrow. Anyways I’ve been meaning to get around to more doom for a very long time. He’s one of my favorite artists and I’ve somehow only heard 2 of his albums (guess that just shows how peak those albums are). This album, while nowhere near as good as those, still has some really great moments. Vaudeville Villain is obviously one of dooms best songs but ... read more

It’s finally happened. I have finally lost my mind.

This is the most visceral horror I have felt listening to music since my first listen to The Seer. I really don’t think even that compares to how disturbing this album is. If this whole series is an accurate portrayal of what it’s like to go through Alzheimer’s then I truly believe it is the most terrifying thing possible for a human to experience. This is such a drastic change from the last three albums. It was so ... read more

The fight or flight response is really starting to kick in

This is deteriorating much much faster than stage 2. It’s really starting to get noticeable how much was lost from the beginning. First of all the way the horns go from being pretty much the only vivid thing remaining in the album to just another background noise really is heartbreaking. I feel like this represents the loss of the memories of your family and close friends. It’s devastatingly bleak. The reprises of Its just ... read more

This is only the second stage?๐Ÿ˜ญ

This is getting very unnerving very fast. I honestly feel kinda sick to my stomach listening to this. It is so much more horrifying then the first stage (which was already haunting as fuck). I’m absolutely terrified for the next stages but also weirdly exited to see just how dark they will get. This album was horrifying but also beautiful so I hope that can keep me from losing my mind.

This some fallout ass music

Seriously though this album is absolutely haunting. I am aware of the concept of the album being dementia and how the music is supposed to deteriorate through the 6 albums. This already gets pretty hazy at times so I’m very interested to see where it ends up by the end.

JAY-Z - The Black Album

Not the most consistent album but the highlights are genuinely some of the most well produced songs in hip hop.
