Nude is my favorite single of all time. This is the most beautiful song ever made. It’s has incredibly emotional lyrics which fit perfectly with Thoms haunting vocals. The vocals here are seriously some of the greatest in music. They really do peak in the final minute though which is what I think makes this song what it is. This album really grew on me as it went along. I wasn’t as into it as I was with Magnolia Electric Co at first but I think it really found its footing at the end. The last song especially is probably my second favorite from Songs Ohia. It’s absolutely incredible. I do think this is a lot more melancholic than Magnolia and I really appreciate how different this sounds. Honestly makes me very excited for the rest of Molinas discography

Actual Review: ok so this is easily one of my new favorite post rock albums. It was just unrelenting (on my balls). I think that the first disc of this album genuinely might be some of my favorite music ever. The second disc, while not as good, is honestly not too far behind. I loved the small touches of shoe-gaze influence. I loved the beautiful singing. I loved the unbelievable instrumentals. I loved everything about this perfect album.
