I've been struggling to keep working on my review for this album, so I'll leave this placeholder here for now. Hopefully, I can work more on it soon! But for now, have this: this was undoubtedly the best and the worst album experience I've ever had.
I 100% thought I would've rated this lower than Exoplanet, but the opposite happened?! This is a point higher somehow...
Well thinking about it a bit more, I get it. Apparition is basically Exoplanet if it didn't have fluff in it and three extra tracks: two short interludes and one killer track. Paper Me is a pretty cute little EP with significantly less cybergrind portions than his other material despite originally being made over a decade ago. And yeah, it's fun :)
My favorite track is the first; it just has more energy than the rest and is more interesting production-wise, and is similar to that of Perfect Life & Other Stuff except more laid back. I didn't listen to much albums that released in 2024 when they came out, but almost every one I did was great! A Lonely Sinner, Monarch of Monsters, and The New Sound is NOT an exception!
