I went into The Ghost Pop Tape not really knowing what to expect, and my god was I blown away. There are moments on this album that sound like nothing I've heard before. This album sounds like crippling loneliness, between the samples of pornography and the depressingly dark atmosphere and the way Devon sounds like he's absolutely defeated on most of the tracks. I don't know how he did it but he turned a wrestler's theme song into a depressing downtempo ballad with HBK, and ... read more
I got my grand momma hands, I always cry when I see em' cause it reminds me of seeing her.
One thing nobody talks about on this album is how incredibly seamless the transitions from track to track are, I mean it's incredible.
I listened to RTJ's work and enjoyed it, so I listened to El-P's solo work. The instrumentals are stellar, El-P is in prime form.
Favorite Track: Deep Space 9MM
The songs (besides Oldie, Forest Green and Analog 2) by themselves aren't very good, and definitely haven't aged well. But if you listen to it front to back it's a pretty fun album. Not exactly good, but fun.
This album is fucking incredible. Please listen if you haven't yet
One of my favorite mixtapes of all time.
Bronson sounds hungry and Party Supplies gives this mixtape a raw vibe that is missing from a lot of projects now. Thug Love Story and 9-24-11 are some of my favorite rap songs ever.
The raw-ass cover drew me in, listened to the album and my life has changed.
do yourself a favor and listen to the original version of science class, leagues better.
this album is what i consider to be the best hip-hop album of all time
