Yeah this is just beyond basic and even lame of what I could have expected. Some good production but not very enjoyable
Edit: Yeah this is still trash but like NOKIA and CN TOWER are absolute bangers for this year. Not the best in terms of lyric and message but for the vibe tbh
I feel very rewarded with checking Cleo Sol after knowing her for so many features with Little Simz, and she definitely did not disappoint. Soul-Filling, peaceful, and comforting are the best ways to describe this album. It really is a peaceful time that rewards you with a voice that emanates love and that displays the realness within her songs.
Decided to check her debut album instead of Back to Black and i think it was a good decision. It is a solid album that delves into personal moments she encountered as well as other topics. Amy Winehouse is very direct in many of her songs seeming right for her personality and brings for a fun listening experience. Her mix of jazz and r&b also bring that memorable sound of the 2000's. And obviously her voice is iconic, really 1 of 1 bringing an impactful storytelling.

Really but really interesting ep by Earl Sweatshirt. It is the first time that I listened to him so it took me a few listens to settle in. But in the productive side, the splitting is so well marked by the beat switches and paired up with his lyricism it really has been the most direct and transparent demonstration of the sense of being depressed. Ive never been depressed but something about the haunting piano loop, or the screeching near part 3 really encapsulate the feeling. And even if each ... read more
Really wish bro would go back to singing but still happy he is out there producing! Tradition is an EP that on the literal sense reflects the traditions and values held from your culture and he mixes that really well in this collection of songs. His voice is very striking as it can capture a lot of strength but then he can flip it to make a gentle and soft sound and this allows him to make Jade and Outta my Mind the best two songs in the ep in my opinion. Outta My Mind is super well structured ... read more
Lô Borges presents an album that brings of a lot of new sounds that were starting to be displayed and straying away from the Bossa Nova that had been the foundation of a lot of the Música Popular Brasileira. Borges does a great job at it with tracks like Calibre, Aos Barões and Tôda Essa Água that really show his skills with the guitar. And honestly this whole album as short as it is, it creates this feeling of fluidity and all the songs bring you through the ... read more
I usually thought this song was alright and just another 2010's pop hit but looking back at it I was completely wrong. The bridges and the build ups to the chorus are so heavenly and addictive, and at full blast it makes for a beautiful listening experience.
Process is such a touching experience and heart to heart moment Sampha offers with sharing his journey through the collected grief of mainly her mother but also of other circumstances. The production was done super well and compliments to Sampha's voice that is beautiful and really gets to you with his ability to recreate the moment he is going through. Blood On Me is honestly the best song i have heard as of now of Sampha and drives you in a journey that the drums dictate the constant ... read more
Cant believe it took me 5 years to discover this song... this song got me dancing and making me feel sexy on a monday morning man
Bro actually locked in and gave us one more banger before the year ended. It still is very mediocre and has the gimmick of being rap that is funny and not with a lot of sense but there is an actual foundation and direction in this ep which is super nice to see. Honestly that is some listenable stuff Yuno is doing and makes me curious to see what else he makes
Never heard anything neither knew about Billy Idol and the album gave me an alright feeling of him. The album contains many catchy synthesizers like the ones in Daytime Drama and The Dead Next Door but there is many parts of the album that feel repetitive and even forgettable. At some points the album got slow but obviously it still keeps a good level. Eyes Without a Face and The Dead Next Door were on another level for me and stood out the most. Overall, pretty alright thats all.
Honestly, the self titled album Soda Stereo is such a great start for such a great band. A band that started out being inspired by The Beatles, The Cure and other Agentinian bands such as Almendra and Spinetta. Being some of the first bands in Argentina to bring this mix of new wave and ska sound and having such a range of songs, they do such a good job in bringing an experience that is electric and always has you hooked. Sobredosis de TV, Un Misil En Mi Placard and Tele-Ka surely highlight ... read more
The Flow vocally and on the guitar makes for a great entrance. Its just impeccable honestly
This is definitely going into the Christmas rotation now. But actually like this Album is surprisingly super good! Very well arranged, even brings new spins to classics that have been remade a million times and Jschlatt just has a very good voice.
Very interesting concept that has been a first for me. But, not a big fan of the repetitiveness.
A great perspective of the West Coast Rap. Very fun and intriguing album to get into when expecting nothing but getting a great mix of sounds.
Dodger Blue, Luther and Heart pt.6 will definitely be in my daily rotation
