Drake - ICEMAN
NR

"This guy's been recycling the same song for 10 years. His fans must have endless patience." - this what I wrote about his album from 2025. You can treat it as a Drake's albums universal review.

Common - Vision
85

Beautiful track

Nas - Light-Years
70

It’s simply okay, but it’s not going to be a classic. Nas is just Nas a brand that doesn’t disappoint. As for Premier, after his recent collaboration projects that didn’t really stand out, I thought maybe he was saving his best beats for Nas. Turns out… not quite. Musically, it leans underground, at times even minimalist - production that’s more bass-driven than sample-driven. It’s a shame he didn’t lean more toward the vibe of Gang ... read more

O.G.C. - Da Storm
85

This is criminally underrated album

Bun B - WAY MO TRILL
77

Does this project reinvent the wheel? No.
Is it enjoyable from start to finish? Hell yes!

Pono - Hołd
90

A groundbreaking album, brilliantly produced, a true classic of Polish hip-hop. Spoczywaj w pokoju Pono.

Busta Rhymes & J Dilla - Dillagence
78

I swear, I had no idea about this project. But I caught up, and it’s awesome. It’s basically like a Busta and Dilla album!

The Alchemist - GOLDFISH
74

I’m a fan of Alchemist’s production, not necessarily his rap. I think Hit-Boy’s work is somewhat overrated in terms of production. Still, I was looking forward to this album. And it’s… enjoyable. It’s just good to listen to. Well-produced, cohesive, and unobtrusive. Simply put - a solid album made out of passion. Cool stuff.

Mobb Deep - Infamy
72

I think this album is overhated and underrated. If you cut out a few tracks that just don’t fit the overall style (like Bounce), and keep around 14 songs, it would actually be a really solid record. But people judge it through the lens of the previous three albums, so it ended up being unfairly dragged through the mud.

Mobb Deep - Infinite
90

The album is mad crazy. Havoc went insane with those beats. The album is gritty as fuck. Easily one of the best albums this year.

Black Moon - Rise of Da Moon
85

This is one of the best comeback albums ever. The album is great from the beginning to the end. Just great

Jeezy - Still Snowin'
70

I didn’t expect such a funky kind of sound/vibes from Jeezy. It’s a bit strange, a bit surprising, but still interesting. Bold move

Mobb Deep - Taj Mahal
100

Great track. Pure Mobb Deep vibes

Cappadonna - Solar Eclipse
65

Honestly, compared to the previous releases, this album is quite solid. The production is ambitious and fairly consistent throughout, though the vocal mix is uneven, with varying volumes from track to track. Overall, it’s an enjoyable listen, but not enough to push the rating into the green tier :P But overall solid effort.

Westside Gunn - HEELS HAVE EYES 2
73

With Westside Gunn I have this problem — I just can’t stand his ad-libs where he imitates a machine gun. I’d really like to listen to those albums, but once he starts with the brrr dot dot, I feel like turning it off. That being said, I really like the production on this record — sometimes, it’s right on the edge of trip hop, which is great. Griselda has always had that gritty beats aesthetic, but here it goes even a step further. Really cool.

Ghostface Killah - Supreme Clientele 2
50

As a next album of GFK - 6.5 -7/10. As a sequel to the original Supreme Clientele - 2.5/10.

This is Supreme Clientele 2 in name only. Unfortunately. He announced this album back in 2010, repeatedly changing both the release dates and the concept (In 2011, he said the album was almost finished!). Wanting to finally close the chapter, he dug up a few tracks, including some unfinished ones, added new material, and called it Supreme Clientele 2 for marketing reasons.

This album has nothing in it ... read more

DJ Premier - The Coldest Profession
68

Great album – though to be fair, it’s only 20 minutes long, so it’s more like an EP. Roc Marciano fits Premier’s beats perfectly. Too bad it’s not twice as long, but hey, better this than nothing.

Ghostface Killah - Ghostdini: Wizard of Poetry in Emerald City
70

I believe this album is unfairly dragged through the mud. Some people might not like the shift towards love themes and R&B, but… Ghostface recorded this exactly in his own style — soul samples, a soulful spirit At the end of the day, there's no falsehood in this album. Ghostface didn't fake anything — he just explored a softer theme using the same soulful blueprint he's always had. And that's as real as it gets.

Raekwon - The Emperor's New Clothes
85

Raekwon is back after eight years since his last album The Wild. And it’s precisely The Wild that his newest release can be compared to — both share a similar vibe and production style, which is a good thing, because The Wild was a very solid record. The Emperor’s New Clothes doesn’t have any misses, but it’s also not quite on the same level as the two Only Built 4 Cuban Links albums. Still, it definitely ranks high within Raekwon’s overall discography. Good ... read more

Wu-Tang Clan - Black Samson, the Bastard Swordsman
75

Anyone calling this a group album or a Wu-Tang Clan comeback is either ignorant or a moron. Seriously — what is wrong with your ability to draw conclusions?

THIS IS NOT an official Wu-Tang Clan return album. This is a Mathematics album featuring the group. It's part of the same series as The Saga Continues, Chamber Music, and Legendary Weapons, but it's not a Clan album. They're not even promoting it on their social media. The only post from February says it's ... read more

On Iglooreviews's review of Mobb Deep - Infinite
"@Iglooreviews This album was meant to close the chapter of Mobb Deep and serve as a tribute to Prodigy in their signature style, not by breaking new ground. In fact, trying to do something new would’ve been a mistake, since there won’t be another album. They worked with what they had, and Havoc and Alchemist delivered brilliantly. I have absolutely no complaints about this record."

"The album was built around the verses Prodigy left. Maybe - just maybe - this could be some clue? What do you think?"
On Mobb Deep - Infinite
"@Difftypeofratin I didn’t think it would go this hard either. I knew the album was gonna be good, but I didn’t expect Havoc to kill it like that with the beats. By the way I was sure “Down for You Pt. 1” and “Pt. 2” would have the same beat! Great album."
On Westside Gunn - HEELS HAVE EYES 2
"@jimmyinfamous00 Well, you're lucky, because for me, no matter how hard I try, those ad-libs are just distracting from listening. If they were just in the background, it would be fine, but they often place them almost in the foreground, which is unbearable. I think the issue is that it creates too much contrast with the music—you have a calm, almost downtempo beat, and then suddenly it’s DOT DOT RaTaTaTa - Second world war."

"The Zoom isn’t some ‘combination of jazz rap & chipmunk soul’ – it’s just song Zoom by Commodores playing in the background. And it’s not even sampling – the track just runs in the background the whole time. As for the rest, I won’t even comment, because this album disappointed me more than any other."

"@ThatWhiteGuy True that. Besides, a Wu-Tang album with only one verse from GFK and GZA? No way. There are probably like 20+ albums branded as Wu-Tang. This one stands out in terms of quality, but it's still not a group album. Peace."

"This is Mathematics’s album. On Wu-Tang’s social media, there’s basically no promotion, apart from a mention that it’s “his album” — meaning Mathematics’s. They didn’t even get together to shoot a proper video; they just put out some AI-generated clip. "This is the same type of project as Legendary Weapons, Chamber Music, The Saga Continues, etc. Of course, Wu-Tang members are an essential part of it, but it's not their official group album. Mathematics has a few other Wu-Tang affiliated albums and something else. Nevertheless, I'm glad it was released because it's good, and I don't think there will be a group album"

This one here is just another side project, but it stands out because of its quality. And it's good it dropped, because there probably won't be an official group album no more.
