An album like this losing “must hear” status while a new random AOTY-user internet slop album with terrible vocals lands at 83 every other week ๐น come on guys
Not gonna partake in the 19th letter of the alphabet in my review for a challenge (and bc kinda ugly)
Wow I did not expect utter heat… I came in blind and I’m glad I did. Loud freaking album the whole way through, and it doggedly kept every track blaringly energetic. Think of Magdalena bay meeting amaarae meeting French electronic duo (not daft punk) meeting lady Gaga.
I experienced the album while running and wow, it kept me incredibly energized.
Pretty good!
Adeline is so ridiculously good.
Consistently beautiful album all the way through; a bit samey for a 66 minute album, but every single song is pleasant.
Doesn’t do much for me. Sleepy sound all around.
To be fair, I don’t love Melodrama as much as most, and this song somewhat continues that vibe.
When I’m in a best song ever competition and my opponent is “If Only I Could Wait (feat. Danielle Haim)” ๐๐๐
I mean this is definitely better than Whole Lotta Red… don’t think it’s a 65/100
Started out really promising and exciting, but loses steam. 85 minutes is really long, and many songs started to blend together. The first half has some awesome synth pop, but the second half is pretty forgettable.
Many parts of this album just felt like aimless wandering and synth noodling. Disappointing.
Exhilarating but exhausting.
“Put me back together [ON THE FLOOR]” is genuinely one of my favorite ever dance tracks already. Absolute ear candy up there with stuff like Assumptions, Digital Love, etc…
Great easy listening by a great voice.
Not the best thing in the world, but it's exactly what I wanted it to be.
