Mostly excellent, but occasionally borders on being so outlandish that it turns into comedy.
Most of this album is fine. The Sound of Silence deserves all the praise it has ever received. All the hyperbole you've heard about that song is true and then some.
Cecilia never worked for me. That's the only thing keeping this from being a 95 or higher.

The first half of this record blasts you to pieces with virtuosic guitar work, incredible jazz fusion, and hook after hook to the point where there is no room left in your brain to process anything else. Denzel's rapping on this album is good for the most part, but the hooks and vicious delivery are what really sell it.
