Giving some Fleetwood Mac and Wet Leg's "Angelica" vibes. Joel leading the verses adds lots of character and Ellie continues to serve them vocals so hard. The vocal harmonies are so ethereal and polished. The instrumentation and production quality continues to shine, on par with their other 2 singles. Very hyped for this album (hoping it to break the 80 AOTY curse) and can't wait to see them live soon!

Admittedly I was very lukewarm during my first listen but this is now bopping so hard. I have to stand up and dance like Lorde in my room. "I remember saying then, this is the best cigarette of my life, well I want you just like that" hits a bit closer to home. BABY WHAT WAS THAT?

It's been quite a while since a modern rock album made me this excited and thrilled. I can't pinpoint a single reason why I am in love with this record so much. Perhaps it is the love letter to rock music and the celebration of rockers who passed away in "Rock and Roll Heaven". Perhaps it is the 1960s-inspired tender somberness of "Got So High". i try to rate albums relative to each other, where basically 90+ all-time favs, 80-90 excellent/will revisit, 70-80 good but not likely to revisit, 60-70 forgettable, 60- terrible
i only rate albums i’ve listened front to back at least twice
songs are more leniently rated, basically 85+ songs i like and 95+ songs i love
been hoping to write more reviews on aoty and hopefully will make a music review blog soon :)
