A great improvement compared to her first album. This album feels a lot more personal and the pop rock sound is excellent. That being said, it has some tracks that I just don't care for and whenever they come on it kind of drags down the entire thing. The ballads are really great too. I think it shows great artistic ability to have have an album with pop rock, dance, and ballads and for it to still sound cohesive.
I do not understand the hate this album gets. It took a minute so it is a grower. It is kind of a wacky album and not terribly cohesive but it works, I mean Xenomania did say it is a concept album about being a 20-something girl. That being said, Models is not a great opener and Racy Lacey is an even worse closer. The heart of the album lies in the middle where you find some real gems. I think this was them trying to see how weird they could be and it just did not click with some people
An okay album. Full of filler but there are some really great standout tracks. She's at her best when she is singing about partying and having fun, which is what most of this album is about. The singles are great and carry the album.
An amazing 2000s dance pop album. The production is amazing and forwards thinking. There are some really weird and out there tracks like Hide and Seek and A Piece of Time that feel very ahead of their time, then there are classic dance songs.
Girls Aloud really steps into dark electro pop dance music here and it works really well. This album is more mature than their other albums in sound and lyrics. It really does not fall off and it enjoyable through and through.
A great comeback and return to the dance hits for Madge. I prefer listening to the CD for the nonstop effect.
A great dance pop record. A big improvement from her debut. The middle of the album kind of falls off and is kind of boring compare to the first half and the end of the album, but all the tracks are amazingly produced.
One of the most forward thinking albums of the 2000s. An incredibly solid dance pop record. The production is great from start to finish. I think some tracks could've been substituted for the B-sides that were released during this era.
It has some really good standout tracks, but the tracks that aren't good are very forgettable. I think the pop rock sound is perfect for her. The album starts off really strong, then there's a few duds in the middle but the ending brings it back around. I think some of the songs could've been substituted for more pop rock songs.
A really emotional album that builds off her debut. There is like 2 filler songs, but the rest is great. It does feel a lot more personal than her first album and the production is a lot heavier and darker.
A really good album with lots of different sounds. I think it would've been more appreciated if it wasn't released by Lindsay which is sad. It obviously has a good amount of filler, but has some really great standout tracks.
One of the best debuts of all time. Avril's personality really comes through on all the tracks. Some tracks are forgettable and the bottom half of the album really falls off compared to the beginning.
Her best album. She took everything from her first album and cranked it up. It's similar in sound to Let Go, but you can still hear the improvement which is really nice. The beginning through track 10 is pure gold, after that it kind of falls off for me, still good tracks, just not amazing.
A good album. She removed the filler from her first album and every track feels like it should be there. Really great and consistent.
A really good record. Overall the only complaint is the inconsistency, but it kind of works considering this is a coming of age album.
Overall a good pop album, but it lacks it consistency. I think it would've been great with maybe a few cuts for consistency, the ballad(s) are mostly forgettable, but still it is a major improvement from On the 6, she really seemed to get into her groove here.
An enjoyable album overall, the only problem is its length. I like the idea of the two disks but still there are about 5 songs that could've been cut from the album because of how forgettable they are. The throwback classic concept makes it a timeless album that doesn't sound dated.
